He already did (Desolate buffs, shit deals a lot of damage). Wouldn't mind a manacost buff to Dagger though.
So my highlight of the evening--I am playing as weaver and match is at about 40 min. I have the plans for radiance at the base with the relic. Was going to head back and was going to buy a demons edge on the way back so I can start making an mbk. Well, I do not make the item often which became apparent when I bought the demons edge with relic in my inventory... You can see where this is going.
Lots of "..." and other entertaining responses as I accidentally bought a divine rapier. The game was still reasonably close so I was quite worried. One death, one mistake, and probably would be GG. Luckily I survived enough to where we pushed them back and won. But man, first divine rapier I have made by complete accident.
Honestly, with the current pace of the game, you're better off not playing a farming Spectre, and just going Phase Urn Diffusal and just ganking with ult whenever it's off CD. If you have competent teammates you can pick up kills and clear lanes between ganks--hopefully getting a good gank tempo and snowballing into bigger items.
It requires you to snowball off good ganks early, but it's better to snowball the game off something that's at least somewhat under your control, rather than just hoping your teammates can buy you time to farm and auto-losing if they can't without having any control over the game yourself.

Mana cost or damage buff on dagger to make it feel less shitty to use in lane or while farming would make Spectre a much more comfortable hero to use.
She doesn't need PL/Luna/Gyro level farming ability without farm items, but at least get her to where DK, Morph or Naga are--where they can use their nukes liberally to speed up their farm.
Divine rapier makes games 10 times more interesting unless you're skeleton king balling out of control. Balling out of control on baller king is the most fun anyone can have.

But i think it's the dispersion that had like 10%/15/20/25% chance of reflecting all damage withing a certain Aoe. I think it was 400 Aoe or something. Forgotten the numbers.
I remember a certain game where Spec had like 100 hp or so and Lina Laguna-ed her. And Lina and her teammates died due to dispersion.LOL
Oh those were good times.
Currently,Spectre is a terrible hero in the current meta. I still see some occasional DK/Morph/Naga/Lycan in some pro games.
Twas 16% chance (at lvl 4) to disperse 100% of damage back then, but yeah it was pretty hilarious to play Russian Roulette against a team with huge burst damage heroes like Lion/Lina.

Have to say ithat in my (poor pub) experience I agree with this. I've played Spectre a little and because of how the game plays out now it feels a lot better to grab an early diffusal and use that to wreck the opposing team. Thing about Spec is that when your ult is up you can simultaneously contribute to any teamfight whilst safely farming a lane or pushing a tower which is really helpful for early game since it means you sit in lane far longer than normal. And dispersion can be unbelievably annoying for the other team if they try to harrass or go on you. I like her honestly, of course I wouldn't say no to a buff because even playing that way she's tricky to get fully up to strength.
That being said I'm generally against using Radiance at all. Its a horrendous buildup compared with something like a Battlefury, takes forever to come online and doesn't do much of anything except straight up farm. At least a Battlefury on something like an Antimage gives you cleave for both fights and farming and keeps you in lane thanks to the regen. I've tried Radiance a couple of times on Phantom Lancer but generally speaking my team is already virtually dead by the time I've got any items and any benefit from it. You just can't afford to be so ineffective for so long.

Didn't NTH play her pretty recently?
Tbh, I like the idea of this super-late carry, even if she see's nearly no use in the current meta. Medusa is pretty much the same, no?
On that note, 50 mins into the game, 6 slots, Medusa or Spectre?
Dignitas and NTH did, however the flaws of the hero became quite appearant in pretty much all of the games. An extremly weak laning stage, minimal flash farming capabilities etc.
and if I recall correctly there was a patch where Culling blade(which does something like 90000 damage on below threshold heroes) was dispersed too.

Ya that version of spec that rabid's talking about was the most broken thing I've seen since playing dota. Whenever I wanna whine about something I remember that old spec and just say to myself, things could be worse.
If you last hit, you took damage. If you denied, you took damage. ???
