You know something isn't right with SC2 when a bunch of random matches even without Na'Vi in it has more viewers than IEM event

Starcraft 2 has like 5k more viewers if you add together WoL and HotS (which you probably should, what with how no one apart from IEM has the ability to play HotS right now).

that's too morbid. You can't look at viewership against other games to see if a game is successful or not. The NFL gets more viewers than the NBA and the NBA gets more viewership than the MLB, and the MLB gets more viewership than the NHL. All of these sports continue to exist.

The bottomline is what matters. If IEM SC2 can be sustained or turn a profit on ~40k viewers than it will continue to progress. If IEM SC2 is not sustainable at ~40k viewers it will dwindle away. It doesn't matter if LoL gets 100k or DOTA gets 70k, it matters if the numbers the game is achieveing warrant the cost/production to put the games out there.

I'm watching Ret vs Yoda now and has around 40,000. I'm not saying HotS (SC2 in general) isn't profitable for IEM crms, it's just weird for me seeing a random online game having more viewership than a well produced offline tournament like IEM.

Am I the only one that would like to see a mode where people have one personal ban before moving into All Pick. If you don't ban before the time limit make it random ban or something.

You could ban the patch hero or the Drow Ranger/Wisp of your choise.

So essentially "All Ban" into All Pick, simple enough.

Agreed. USE is completely unplayable unless you mute everyone at the start of the game.

Why are you playing on US servers in the first place?

'cause us euros get like 120ping max to USE. :>

Read my location. I've played US servers from Europe with friends. ;]

But that doesn't answer my question. Why queue the server? For a 30 second difference in average wait times? I don't understand it at all.
Did you ever say Yes to a single joy?

Sure you can. Each of the people on your team instantly picks a hero that you want to deny, waits for the opponents to pick theirs, then you all repick into whatever you really want to play.

Actually just checked, it is 7 timeszones. Saying Russians are one hour ahead is just oversimplifying. Just like saying someone speaking Russian has to be Russian. I know the world is scary and shit. So let's just generalize it all.

Like 80% of Russia's population live in the european part of Russia though, and the portion of players/viewers from that region should be even bigger.

It's a pretty safe generalization to be honest.
