" Fuck off with that shit, it's racist. inb4 "russian is not a race"Assuming you have English selected as your language and are not playing on the Russian server, people have every right to be mad at the Russians they play with. It's not "racist", it's that you've selected "English" on "Europe West" and yet somehow you get someone who clearly shouldn't be in the game because they can't communicate at all and have both their own language they can select AND a server dedicated to their country instead of fucking up your games. Nothing wrong with Russians that speak English playing with English selected. I still don't get why they're on Europe West (or US or whatever), but it's OK. And of course it's unlikely the average Russian is worse than your average player from any country, it's just that if you're going to queue for a language you don't speak on a server whose area you don't live in you're probably not the brightest, meaning that most non-Russians are going to have a pretty bad opinion of the Russians they do play with.

Just like many of us playing in Europe. I posted it because i wish all of the games where like that one, no communication problems, no huge skill difference and most of all, having FUN instead of slitting your wrists open.

Here's my favorite http://www.playdota.com/forums/showthread.php?t=404474. What type of dota player are you? I'm definitely the wannabe-hero, the rambo, the pub pro and the backdoor bandit. lol

If your post was "I finally had a game, where I was in a team with a russian speaking 4stack and they were able to communicate with me", that is a COMPLETELY different story then "finally had a good game with Russians" If you still don't understand why your post was racist, I don't think I will be able to explain to you. English is not my first language and I'm already struggling to put this post together.

By doing that, you're supporting a certain stereotype, which then just spirals into more hate towards the russians. Another thing is that you're definitely wrong in your first post. Has it never occured to you that often you can't even tell if a player is russian or not? I think it's rather heavily implied that he was talking about Russians that reveal themselves to be Russian by typing with Cyrillic as opposed to Silent Guy #108,439 who could be from any country on the planet.

It is absolutely stupid talking about "Russians" when you do not know where people are from. But this opinion is really prelevant on reddit. Not as much here since people get banned for shit like that.

Are you willing to drop this already or should we still discuss about it? I've said everything I have to say. I didn't mean it in a negative way, maybe some understood it as a negative outburst, but i meant it only positive and i'm happy that the game happened. Maybe that was because English isn't my first language either and i could've worded my post better.

You're right to an extent, but "Russian" is considerably shorter than "Russians who play on my server with the wrong language selected and reveal themselves to be Russian through use of the Cyrillic alphabet", which is pretty clearly what is meant. Does the short hand somehow mean people disrespect Russians in general? Maybe a little, but I never saw too many people attacking Light of Heaven or Ars-Art when Na'vi played. Ideally people should use the long hand term I gave (or something to that effect), but that's expecting a lot on a message board.

You have to ignore any sort of social aspects and merely connect any sort of insulting behavior based on his personality alone. In fact, you can't even say mean things about them, because then it looks badly on you and it could then be eventually connected to racism and that any negative qualities he has are secretly connected to his race. You can't be mad ever again.
