If you want to keep your sanity intact, for the love of god, DO NOT watch it. There are better ways to waste 50 minutes.
On a scale of root vs fnatic (Beaster hawk, pudge BoT, chen game), how insane is it?
Not quite as good as 3DMax vs N'avi (most recent crazy game I could think of), it varies though it get's ALOT of bonus points depending on how much you enjoy a meepo being played well

Imagine a game where team1 doesnt want to fight and team2 can not fight. This is not Dota. This is bullshit.

I think he's kind of situational mid (a bit like Nyx), or he'll play a 4 positiong in a trilane vs trilane situation.
What are your thoughts on this hero? Has anyone else played around with him in CM?
they weakened silencer in team fights to make his laning stronger, and people didn't pick him before despite decent laning and strong team fight, now that he has only his ultimate for team fights he's not really much more than a pub character or 1 position carry in specific situations
It's not really that simple, because there's a big difference--Silencer has *damage* now. Before Silencer could only provide damage once he got farm and was doing right-click damage (no damage on Last Word, CotS was weaker damage but longer duration). This means that he's weaker in lategame teamfights but stronger midgame because he has higher nuking power--weaker in longer engagements, but stronger in short, burst-damage driven engagements (since he now has up-front damage and the old Last Word aura was redundant with Global Silence if you opened the fight casting Global Silence).
The remade Silencer has ~350 more single-target burst damage in the span of a Global Silence than the old Silencer did. This means that the ideal teamfight scenario of initiate+GS to prevent counter-initiates->kill one guy before GS runs out to fight a 5v4 is actually much easier to pull off than before, because having that much more burst damage contributes significantly to an immediate kill. This becomes less and less practical as there are more team survivability items and BKBs, but it means that Silencer's midgame teamfight from level 7-11 is stronger than the old Silencer.
The flaw of Silencer is still that even as a semicarry, he is a teamfight-to-the-death hero. He doesn't play as smoothly if the game develops to a different pace other than teamfight after teamfight. He has no hard disables, so his ganking power lies solely in having nukes. He has no pushing power, no flash-farming ability. His ideal game is simply to use his strong laning to get an early advantage, and then butt heads with the enemy team in 5v5s over and over again until you win the game. It makes him strong in pubs, particularly in Chinese pubs where high level pubs are all just butt heads 5v5 over and over again like that (hence why Tranquil+Aquila+Janggo on Agi carries became so popular there in the first place--it's a build suited for that kind of play), but in organized play, you can't expect the team to play to your ideal scenario like that.

I'm going to cut my opinion short, but my main problem with his "butting heads teamfight after teamfight" is that global silence is such a long cooldown, that he feels pretty much non-effective in team fights compared to some mid heroes when his ulti is on cooldown.
Is G-league like the only league that features chinese teams? I hope there's more in the future or something, it seems it's going to be like in SC2, except there GSL was up all the time T;T. Watching these western teams is kinda meh.
Random request, trying to show a friend a dota highlight video to get him pumped a bit, it's a highlight video that was posted here on TL a while back with Na'vis games vs the chinese in TI2. It starts something like "in a world of chinese dota" "last hope of the western world" or something and then shows highlights with crowd cheering and stuff. I can´t for the life of me find it on youtube. Anyone know which one im talking about?
I simply think that some heroes like silencer/ench/necro have completely different understanding from the players of west or east, the funny thing it is consistent from lowest level pubs to higher level pro games from both scenes. It is all up to navi and top chinese teams to show the world what can they do tbh. Until then, it is very hard to convince people that X hero is highly viable hero in comp scene.
Hell, even some heroes with different builds can catch so many people off guard, like today I just saw a (chinese) build lesh completely owned a qop, i know people hated lightning on lesh here.
