Yes you could theoretically get them an amazing present, but you're far more likely to end up getting them a shitty common lol.

edit: I guess undying's ultimate has an aura together with his transformation ult, but it doesn't really feel like an aura.

The only exception I can think of off the top of my head is Drow, and even then Icefrog has changed it from a purely passive ult (+X agi no matter what) to something that you have to think a little about (+X usually, but +2X if no heroes next to you). PL, Drow, Ogre, PA, Skela king, Bristleback, Tiny all have passive ultimates. While they are exciting, they're not really spells with an immediate effect. Surely one could make an aura that was similar to that.

There are ultimate stuns, nukes, teleports, buffs, passives, blinks, transformations, heals, illusion abilities, invisibility spells, attack modifiers, but not a single aura in the ultimate slot. Why do you think that is? Would it be too hard to balance? Too boring? edit: I guess undying's ultimate has an aura together with his transformation ult, but it doesn't really feel like an aura. Well we have damage aura ultis (like pulse nova) though if you were to have an aura as an ultimate it'd probably have to be something actually cool. like a toggle aura that pulls enemies slightly toward you every so often ( Like a partial vaccuum every 1.5 seconds or whatever) something along those lines.

PL/Ogre/PA/SK/BB all have ults that while passive, actually help define the way the hero is played. Drow's (and Centaur's prechange) ult is basically 'here have more damage'.

Drow's (and Centaur's prechange) ult is basically 'here have more damage'. Bristleback's ult isn't too flashy either. Everytime you cast a spell you get a small boost to your fighting capabilities. And if we're talking ultimates defining the way a hero is played, then heroes like windrunner are the exception there.
