next level fountain diving by Chuan. On January 28 2013 07:44 cecek wrote: Are drums even worth building on carries in pubs? I think it's not because there's not that many 5on5 fights/5man pushing early game, so you don't really get the full effect out of it, you're not going to use the charges on small fights, and if you do you won't have them later when you need it. I think having a support to build them around 25 minutes is just better and have your carry get a big item faster. It is in pubs that you are usually unable to get freefarm due to how lanes can shape up, getting drums is quite cost effective and has a good buildup, saving for bigger items can be quite dangerous in pubs as they will more then often not protect you as well as non-pubs would. Remember that in pubs a lot of kills usually do happen, while 5on5 engagements won't happen too often, smallscale 2on2 or 2on3 engagements is all that Drums need to be effective. Drums are also really good for solving a lot of carries their horrible mana pool.

I've never been sad i got drums on a carry ever. ever. you use the charges when it gives you an advantage you don't need to save them for 5v5 fights. if you are ganking someone or aiding a gank, blow a charge, in a 1v2 fight (as the 1), blow a charge, need an extra burst to escape and keep hard earned money? blow a charge.

Even though there might not be early 5v5 fights / pushes, the charges wont disappear. They will still be there later into the game, saving them for the teamfights later is not bad either.

Also I'd refrain from calling Puppey best Chen player in the world.

Puppey is definitely the easiest to find replays of for free though (check ti2 replays in-game for that).
