Isn't halberd ideal for axe? You get spin procs even if they miss, you get hp, and you can throw in another disable against their carry.

Edit: and miss chances doesn't have diminishing returns with your 40 armor bonus.

its pretty good lategame but too expensive to pick up early on
vanguard adds almost as much survivability early game and costs half as much

Rod of Atos is a pretty fun Axe item. lets him battle hunger much more, and the cripple is brutal in team fights and ganks.

vanguard is only good if you somehow manage to get it at like 9 minutes for some weird ass reason

even then a mek would still be 10000x better!

Does anybody feel that tranquil boots are just a little too good? They are very cheap and useful on almost anyone. They are slot efficient and can be disassembled later on too. I have not a clue what to suggest to change about them though.

Mek on Axe only really works if you got Arcane Boots. If you have Tranquils, your mana really doesn't support Mek.

Vanguard is ok on Axe, but really situational.

Necrobook is actually very good on Axe.

i like vanguard axe cus he farm it so fast then he can dive everything
i've tried a lot of stuff, i think i usually go arcanes hood blink pipe though (with or without bottle and wand, sometimes point or vit booster thrown in)

While we're talking about axe, anyone try laning him with veno in the longlane? It's pretty brutal in pubs. You battlehunger the carry he has to go in for a last hit and you slow him with veno or he eats the whole hunger, it's especially good vs duo lanes where the support lacks nukes.

You're clearly not as good as he is. At 7-8 minutes you should have 5 kills, 2 towers, and 80 cs if you're not trash.

its not unrealistic at all to have a vanguard before 7 minutes. If your manning it up in a favorable lane then its totally possible.

with enough luck on spinning you can get a Vanguard before 9min from jungle easily but then a Mek is really better than that. Vit orb+trans is the standard way to go, rushing dagger is cheesey because i love to take the free kill of those axes without hp lol
