I mean, both can be played with Tranquils+Aquila/Janggo->BKB and be strong in early-midgame. Luna's definitely a stronger pusher and contributes more to "5-man DotA", but she's also just a stronger hero overall--regardless of early-game focus or not. Gyro is a much more powerful ganker due to having two 1k+ range skills for initiating ganks (one hard stun, one AoE slow), and has higher up-front damage if he can position for rockets (not that practical in a teamfight, but more so in a gank). It's just wrong to say he can't do anything early. He's a strong midgame ganker, and a decent teamfighter.

I stopped playing him for a few months, but I started again and I am now 24-28. Maybe one day you will reverse that WR losing streak ![]() I think the problem with wr in pubs is that somebody tends to automatically go jungle, and not a useful ganker jungle, but an afk farm jungler, so your safe lane doesn't get free farm. Then wr tends not to win the 2v1 (unlike darkseer), and you have a 50/50 chance of winning mid.

i thought i did decently but the group disbanded as soon as that game ended... i wish replays would have the option of having team chat and voice visible... Thought TL would be more understanding... maybe i'll just post in the QQ thread about that game instead of coming here for advice next time... sorry i ever thought I'd actually get real advice here

You don't submit a replay in sc where you crushed the other guy in 20min, its the same in dota.

what can i improve?"Everything about that screams thinly veiled bragging. If you're legitimately looking for advice, there's a strategy section.

No regardless of score, what items SHOULD i have gotten to be more traditional so 1) these games don't happen in the future 2) if there's a stronger opening, what is it? and don't people also talk strategy in this section?

And yes people talk strategy, but it's more general strategy(How can Y do X together with Z, for example), not "What can i do better in X game" that kind of stuff belongs to the strategy sections.

Games were you win with 24-2 score are really bad for analyzing, come back if you have a game that you lost. If you win then we can say what went right, if you lose then we can look at it and say here this is what went wrong. An endgame score 24-2 is just bragging, it doesn't showcase the flow of the game when you are struggling, playing from behind the entire game is a fuckton harder then playing ahead, there is nothing we can say about this game except, well you won 24-2, congrats?. i thought i did decently.. ![]() this doesn't help either. A boxer doesn't beat up his opponent in 2 hits and then asks the coach after what he could have done better, he gets beaten and then asks the coach what he could have done better. On January 13 2013 10:41 Aixler wrote: It's hard to distinguish between bragging and genuinely looking for advice. Posting a game where you go 24-2 aren't always useful because any build would've likely seen you win. And clearly the build you used worked in that game, probably better than any other better on average build. And asking for general advice here, just because a teammate says something negative after a failed gank, is really something you should avoid. It's often pointless. Unless you honestly think you messed up and the teammate wasn't just blowing off steam, For next time, give a time and ask for specific advice:"At 05:00 Veno ganked my lane but it didn't work, he died and blamed me. Should i have done anything different?". This is the right approach.

If others help you, why not take the effort to help others yourself, by letting them learn from your situation. ^^

First of all, you are not "kind of high level" if you blame it on your teammates. It's not like your opponents is much better than your teammates. Second, there is a TL inhouse thread here http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=365938¤tpage=43 which do captains mode 5vs5 more seriously. But seriously, stop blaming it on your teammates, it only makes you look bad. You are worse than you think you are, and have a lot to improve on. So try to improve yourself and stop focusing so much on your teammates.

I have gone games where I go insanely positive and then still lose because I get a teamate going 0-15 as a carry and shit talking the whole game I am not saying I do bad because of my teamates and therefore blame my teamates for that I am saying I am doing good but losing because I get trolls on my team and so on.

Caring about your K/D score is the first sign of being terrible. The second is blaming things on your teammates. Look at the game differently and you might find some ways you can improve. If your teammates are that bad compared to your skill level then you should be able to dominate whatever lane you're in and carry the game from there.
