My friends aren't so good. ~:D My friends actually bring me down from VH to High.
We still lose a lot.
They aren't very good.
Edit: Still 50.5% winrate :D!

Regardless, stacks are always more fun - especially if you have voice comms!

I solo q in Very high ( just barely)
I have friends that always play in normal when we party up. We lose unless I go mid/carry, no fun

Even if it's a "balanced" game, only one of two things is going to happen: either you get a game close to your friends' MMR, and it's super one-sided, or you get a game closer to your MMR, and your friends are just feeding left and right while you struggle to carry them.

Hehe, random'd slark in a game last night. They put up an agressive trylane bot, which fed me mercilessly until I had a DR at 23 minutes. So, naturally, I die in the first teamfight and give up the rapier. The game lasted 80 minutes with the rapier switching sides every single teamfight. We eventually won during a base race. No racks were down at the 60 minute mark.
One of my friends decided to go back to LoL after that

Was the game too good for his poor heart? That seems the opposite of a terrible game.

It's just not possible to play stacks like that :<
Gonna make me a new account just for solo and more serious play I think. ㅡ.ㅡ

Honestly I find 5 stack AP to be more high level than 5 stack CM. Mainly because in CM you can win by outdrafting since it seems most people that play CM lack some subtle drafting techniques that you find teams that use scrimming channels have.

play cm with dead9 and see his patented 4 protects 1 with sniper going 0-20 transitioning into winning the game build copyright 2013

Nothing feels quite like starting 6-0 and ending 25-37. Exquisite is what it is

Still, if you really have a queue buddy for some time your mmr will start to sync, like mine and Tetons were for a while.
Now we just take turns at carrying eachother
(and tell each other that it wasnt our fault we lost, we are experts at that)

It's less likely to be a big deal when its only 2 people. It's most apparent if you're playing 5 stacks where one or two players are vastly better than the others.

Yes well, as previously mentioned, we don't play that well. Especially since the two of the players tend to be very different people from day to day (can usually depend on the same 3 people being on every night, though).
Edit: Random question - what is your skill build for a 5th slot (maybe 4th) Shadow shaman?
