The other was poor Draskyl (who admittedly probably didn't play perfectly). He was 6 slot at like 35 minutes and was Scrooge McDuck-ing it in all his gold but couldn't pull off the 1v5 vs drow, dark seer, sniper etc.

Interestingly enough, though, in competitive play, PL doesn't seem to do that great unless you get to the 45 min mark. I haven't sat down and analyzed any of these games, but it just seems like PL never gets steam-rolling. The only times I ever see PL work is when he has KotL as a support.

Me and my friends did that... https://dotabuff.com/matches/93563999 Hilarious game anyway we just got over confident and kept diving into their base and then being too weak to actually kill the towers/rax while AM split pushed all game... iirc we didn't actually take any T3s...Look at the kills lol :D, was a funny game to lose, we just couldn't kill AM...

That's why it's so common to see teams take out all the outers rather than risking high ground too soon, even if they have a sizeable advantage. You really do need to build up that map control advantage and high ground off certain item timings rather than trying to high ground haphazardly.

I saw a video before and also just saw Korok doing it with CK, but I can't seem to properly figure out how to start it off, etc.

Step 2: I have 1 HP, agi/int boots. Action: turn on armlet. Step 3: I have 400 HP, Armlet on. Action: Set boots to Strength. Step 4: I have 450 HP (varies), boots on Strength. Action: Turn off armlet. Result: I have 50 HP (varies, this is optimistic). A lot of work, for little gain, and a 2s cooldown per cycle, but it is free HP.

That's still 25 HP per sec, give or take, so it's pretty good, especially since technically you can do it during battle. Thanks for replies, I'm going to practice it hard now. Though I hope it just gets fixed altogether so that way I don't feel stupid for not doing it.

1) 50 HP is super optimistic. I was just illustrating. The amount you gain depends on your max HP (and your % HP at the start). 2) really, the way to do it is to bind a tertiary key or mouse button to the correct sequence of item toggles (presumably doable via autoexec.cfg)
