I mean yeah, what he did is a total dick move but it's nothing to throw fucking tables over. At the end of the day, yes, it is just a video game. Dendi should be punished in some fashion for ability abusing, but it doesn't require a witch hunt or a huge dramafest either. It just requires a report function. Soon enough we'll have people digging up replays of casters to find a 2 year old one where they said a bad word so they can get them fired from their company or any of the other types of drama that the SC2/LoL community got to deal with. | ||

OP makes on reddit a moral post painting the devil in person on dendi and everyone eats it up and throws in their own why-i-hate-dendi story. A couple of hours it turns out OPs story isn't exactly true but by then people have already adopted the picture of devil dendi. Everytime the same shit on reddit. | ||

What makes it worse, Dendi tried to explain his position but he just gets picked apart. Reddit is like youtube. Good for quick content but you shouldn't really look at the comments most of the time. | ||

I quite agree. At least comparing it to sc2's reddit there's not really people threatening to contact sponsors over it (the few I did see were more of a "well, all organizations should rein in their gamers", "reinforces CIS stereotypes" which devolved into pointing out that even some of the top chinese players are notorious ragers in pub games). It's certainly overblown. Dendi's reply should be the top comment in the thread. None of the griefing was done by Dendi, it's just that the OP of the thread knew that no one would have given two shits if dexter wasn't in a stack with Dendi about the wisp/abandon abuse. | ||
