For instance, if I maintain a positive ratio, do I still receive the same MMR "score" as the 1-12 Huskarr? Noone actually knows. Everyone always assumed stats didn't count, but I'm not sure if Valve has ever said anything final about it. It's more likely that only wins count, imo, or are at least much more important than other factors. I've seen some people start to question it recently, because of how some smurfs managed to go up extremelly fast on the MMR, while others didn't, but there are other factors that could explain that.

The "performance rating" bars under your personal dota 2 profile sometimes seem to indicate that yes, losses can still give you postive "rating". However, the accepted wisdom is that wins make you go up and losses make you go down, period. Really we don't know enough about Valves system and I think that Valve like it like that. This way, you can't try to game the system.

I mean, have you seen CatZ try to play other heroes? His invoker is pretty good really, but most everything else is... hard to watch. Half the time I feel like those guys are playing something like DDR instead of Dota 2 XD. Catz's invoker makes me cringe tbh, and I've never actually seen him play anything else T_T

I hadn't played my invoker in 1-2 months or so, so I figured i'd give it a go. I laned against a mid Panda, not really giving it a second thought. This was the result ![]() + Show Spoiler + I checked his stream, it was indeed a puppey, shocksha, funzi stack. LOL holy shit you got destroyed

He also screamed "DENDI" everytime he threw a hook (missed the vast majority) and in general was scarily bad. Spent the whole time lecturing his stream chat on "thinking outside the box" in Dota. I meant his invoker was good for his tier, not that his invoker was pro or anything. I mean, his invoker is wayyyy better than mine and (subtle brag inc) the one time I've played against him we dumpstered his 4 stack.

Gaining MMR on a loss is counter intuitive regardless, but especially so on a useless statistic like KDA. It could possibly be a factor though as nobody knows how the system works except for valve. I'd wager that they increased the maximum amount of MMR you can gain from a single win or that you get extra MMR gain from streaks early on rather than gaining MMR when you lose if you have good stats.

I heard earthshakers ult doesn't hit invisible units either but that might be wrong. Does anyone have a link for a list that shows which spells doesn't work against invisible targets or that just feels like writing them down here in the thread if you are sitting on the information in your head? It would be much appreciated I don't have a list but from personal experience I know invisibility cancels jugg ult and it's pretty bullshit.

It would be much appreciated Invisibility actually dodges most targeted projectile spells, there are very few that go through it (Sniper's assassinate comes to mind).
