Sorry I play on USE/USW and sometimes Asia. I really have no idea about the EU dynamics.

I went treads into diffusal, then tried to get a bkb. The problem is, that while I could gank extremely well due to diffusal, I felt rather useless in teamfights. I would sit around, chuck a pounce and a smokebomb on someone and then get stunned and bursted down. Then by the time I got a bkb, I was underfarmed. I felt like I didn't gank enoough, and spent too much time farming. Is it possible to gank before diffusal?

As a rikimaru, you should be capitalising on your early-midgame advantage once you hit lvl 6/7. backstab is really strong even without the purge from diffusal blade. Remember that you DO have teammates that can lock down opposing heroes for you to rightclick down. It's a team game.

Had someone raging at me for using 'ss' instead of 'ms'. Then had an enemy PA (who was in a stack) raging at us for pausing so teammate could reconnect. Quotes include: "Why bother, you're all so bad" (we were positive in kills, down a few towers though) "We win already" etc etc Then we teamwiped them about 20 seconds after but lacked pushing power. Right at the end of the match I managed to kite enough creeps to our fountain from ancient to kill my teams Silencer in only a few seconds, haha.

The idea of smoke bomb isn't just that it slow it also silences and has miss chance. Use it as area denial and drop it in the path of enemies coming to assist. Example: If your team engages on a person you can drop a cloud in between your teams target and the rest of the enemy team.

I think you all know that feeling. I wish casters knew more about dota so all the limelight didn't go to carries on pro teams because honestly people just take it as an excuse to never play anything else.

I'd say it has to do with it being far easier to win by more farm rather than better decision making when you're new. Also, it's probably more appealing thinking you win because you kill everything rather than having someone else do it.

If they are decent, you are a fine support. If they are not you still got some punch and can have some fun .Thing is, you don't need any farm to be pretty dangerous while always looking cool and having the best soundset there is ("wait for it, waaaaait for it" :D)... The true "Top"-Supports often only work if your team actually is good or your screwed because you lack any kind of punch, WD can still do something even if his team is pretty "meh" ^^. Or just pick Jakiro because he is ridiculous anyway.

That sounds generic like some excuse coming from shitty player but a quick fact is that I have played 80% of my 2k games as hardlaner or support (i am the dude with near 70% winrate as CM). Just play veno / SD / thd / WD as the other guy said, supports which can take farm if their team sucks isnt bad at all

Buy flying courier and at least 1 set of ward is standard when i play carry nowadays (and i will commend anyone who did any basic support job).
