One of my friends played as courier for 3 minutes till he understood how to switch back to his hero. Singsing stream with 2gd is already funny but with puppey and waga it's even better. The stressful part is when you begin to play regular pubs against other players, instead of playing vs bots, where they get to learn their handful of heroes they like. The dilemma I am currently in is quite weird as well: Should I queue with them on my main account, where they'll simply get facerolled and eventually end up having on fun playing - On a sidenote: all this playing vs. bots ended up, in me being out of shape as well, so me carrying the game is even more unlikely than it is anyway, since I am nothing more but just a good player and no outstanding supertalent as well. Or should I create a smurf account for the sake of teaching them in proper conditions, but will destroy the gaming expirience of my enemies, who will most likely be unexpirienced players as well. A coaching type of way is kinda hard as well, since there's the DotaTV 2 min delay and organizing lobbygames is very troublesome - so I kinda have to be in the same game as them. So far I've also watched DHW last weekend with them and commentated for them via voicechat and explained as much as possible and tried answering every question they had. Well I can just repeat myself: teaching people DotA is a hell lot of fun!

That's the image a lot of people seem to have about infest :p

Well maybe the best thing would be if you could get 10 people together so you could play a practice match that you could watch and where winning / lossing isn't punished as hard as in pub game. Plus you would have no delay and you could coach them. I would be up for it and I'm sure we can find a few other people in the teamliquid channel or elsewhere that would be willing to help out.

I Somehow got invited into a 4 stack of brazilian/South Americans after a win. They are still on my friends list and i think i play with them more then anyone else, they have little flags next to thier names and shit, makes people rage SO HARD. I have never noticed a "Skill gap" between russians/brazilians. What i have noticed is a tendency to go MAN MODE all the time. Makes for fun games IMHO.

Courier should be able to carry up to 7 heros. 6 in the slots and lifestealer with infest. This would make dota 2 more exciting and bring SEA dota to the next level. Edit: just realised that there are only 5 heros on a team. Well other slots are used for oxygen or some shit. + Show Spoiler + ![]()

I think the biggest non-CIS cup so far. 141 teams played in it. Yay dota 2 growing. Also the semi finals are: fota Lions Pride vs Virtus Pro

Should i start complaining when people speak german/swedish/french and the likes in european servers? Because you're doing the exact same thing, complaining about people that are most likely european and using a european server because you, know, they are fucking european. What about if a person from any other european country wants to Q but doesn't speak english? I've met germans that could not speak english at all, does this suddenly mean that they can't play on the european servers or what? Quit the xenophobia. No, because there aren't any servers specifically catering towards Germans/ Swedish/ French. If there was a German server and people were all like JA DAS IST GOOT on the non German server then I would have the same gripe. On December 03 2012 05:12 r.Evo wrote: The Russian server is in the middle of Stockholm. To be more precise Russians most likely have the same ping to the Russian server as to the EU East/West Server. PS: The actual communication that's needed for pub games isn't much more than "ss", "go", "b". The most advanced stuff you need is around the lines of "need wards", "coming top" and, at the highest level of professional pubplay only: "smoke here". If you aren't able to communicate/understand that kind of stuff in foreign languages you're kind of screwed. PPS: Speaking of which, can someone translate the above into (non-cyrillic) russian for me? Some kind of "me no rus" on top of that and I shall fieldtest my communication skills on foreign territory! I do not think it is valid to spam the EU server with Russian just because you have a better ping to the EU server, given the existence of the Russian server. Besides, there are so many offenders that, statistically speaking, I would be very surprised that we are all running into the same five ex-pat Russians who live in London but speak no language other than their native tongue. In answer to your second point; maybe a group of co-ordinated and like minded people could get by without anything more than SS/ G/ B but it would be horrible to play public dota and to not be able to communicate in a more meaningful manner. Sometimes people want a longer term plan than "B". Sometimes you see your team mate place a ward somewhere that your own existing ward already covers and want to let them know that. Other people can point out my mistakes and I will try to learn from them.
