Now how often does lol have patches? back in my day we didn't complain about heroes when they were released/buffed. we just called someone a noob for picking them and went on playing and eventually learned to beat them. Unless that guy was gambler, that was dumb. keep in mind pubs say the following heroes are OP: Centaur, kotl (as a solo mid), pudge, viper, huskar, riki. EDIT lol forgot ursa | ||

You people need to chill the fuck out. Centaur is a solo ganker with primitive to use skills, he's also super melee. That's the ursa recipe for being good in pubs and being shit in serious games. He dominated pubs in DotA before with his passive ult, he is stronger now. Just deal with it. | ||

IdrA has complained about 5 of 6 starcraft races (BW Z, P, SC2 T, Z, P) it doesn't mean you can just rely on the crutch of "a pro complained too" :/ he's JUST a new to fighting vs centaur with a pressable ultimate as everyone else whining. | ||

EDIT lol forgot ursa The game is completely bullshit at the moment. It's not a "oh pubs will learn to counter him" situation. The hero has been around for ages except for his new ult and stat gain changes (which are basically a way for him to keep his old ult). People know how to deal with Centaur's skillset except for his ult. He's the most played hero in the current patch by a very large margin and his winrate is going up. Unlike Ursa his effectiveness only increases with the level of coordination among players. Maelk isn't Idra. He's known for blasting Riot, S2, etc. to the extent that he called people playing LoL "traitors". But balance whine? No. I cannot think of a player less likely to criticize anything about dota. When people were complaining about Ursa OP in pubs he peaked at 57% and has fallen to 49%. This is 10% over Ursa's peak and there are VERY clear differences between them. Centaur's skills are significantly better for teamfighting. No, we have no competitive analysis. We would never get any. The point of not pushing a hero like this straight into CM/Tournament mode is to check for obvious imbalances or bugs. It's insanely unlikely that any team would let him through in his current incarnation, in fact, it's pretty unlikely that he wouldn't be a straight auto-ban. It's very rare for a hero to be released and have their winrate skyrocket in pubs in dota. It's also very rare that Icefrog is planning balance patches two days after their official release when it's not a bugged or unintended use issue. edit : (at least in recent times on the Icefrog thing. I know there has been some OP stuff he pushed out that occasionally took forever to get nerfed) | ||
