i always get MoM on drow.

I only play in the high skill bracket, but it allows me to "flash farm" fairly well. Chase any hero, and evade any hero that doesnt have a stun.

The move speed on it is so so so good. The attack speed boost is amazing when you get crit.

I understand it not being as good now, because it doesnt add agi which helps your team, but it is damn near broken once you get a daed.

As a glass cannon you shouldnt be getting hit, and if you are getting hit, and you cant run from your attackers with the extra speed, you are prob dead with/without the extra dmg you are taking from the MoM debuff.

I'd also do it if I wasn't at work T_T

If you queue up in a team, it slightly inflates your MMR just for queueing together. Also, the MMR of a group of players is heavily biased towards the MMR of the best player therein, so be careful who you queue with

But I've played vs lots of solo's as 3-4 I think. Not really sure, since lots of "stacks" are still terrible.

That may be part of it. I'm probably the "best" player in my little group, relatively...I'm still terrible, but I generally have the highest GPM, most LH's, etc. So it's possible my MMR is inflating us just enough to get slightly harder opponents which my friends can't really deal with.

And you're correct, just because it's a five stack doesn't mean you are going to lose...it just gives them a communication advantage.

This logic is as flawed as ever.

Probably because the current Drow is always going to be the opposing teams first target, if they are smart...especially on a team with other ranged Agi heroes which are all getting a global buff from her.

Having a bkb on the hero most likely to get targeted first is always useful.

Yeah I've noticed that as well, we're playing "high skill" matches when only one of us actually in "high skill" mmr and others in normal.

Also performance bar is just so full of wtf, somehow my 7-0 Lich is by far my worst hero at less than half a bar and my Jakiro that I regularly go positive k/d in addition to the usual support duties is good second worst...

The entire profile hero system is a bit off. Even the "signature" heroes area is odd. For instance, mine is Veno, SD and Brew. Veno and Brew make sense, I play them a lot and I am good with them....but SD? I'm okay with him, but I barely play him. In fact, I have a much higher play/win rate with CM....so why is SD one of my signature heroes?

Oh well, very #firstworldproblems. I am much more interested with them tweaking matchmaking than messing with the profile algorithms.

We have regular inhouses almost every night, and through those quite a few of us have made enough ONLINE NERD FRIENDS to queue with on a regular basis. I rarely ever solo queue any more. Care to join?

If you *insist* on going MoM + Crits on a squishy hero, at least do it on Sniper so that you can pretend you are far enough away from the enemy to keep you alive.

Also note that there are very few heroes (shadow fiend, I guess) in the entire game who don't have some relevant way to catch you when you run away with MoM on.

Just because Sing_Sing does it in pubs...

"night" to those in the UK is not the same as night for us North Americans (I'm GMT-7). You guys are always doing inhouses while I'm at work

On weekends they generally go quite late, and normal stack queueing isn't reliant on timezones ^_^

In "standard" time we are -7, but yes, right this very second we are -8, you're correct. Not sure which you're supposed to use for your "GMT-X" nomenclature, standard or DST?

e: WOOPS, had that backwards. We are -8 in standard and -7 in DST, so yeah, we are -8. My bad!

Also, BKB's stats are pretty bad for the cost, (compare to sange for 1/2 the price) so it isn't helping you farm the way some other, decently cheap damage items do.

There's actually a line of thinking that treats BKB as a reasonable item choice for farming, because being able to BKB+TP lets you push lanes far deeper than you would otherwise. Obviously using BKB charges to escape like that isn't ideal, but everyone who's played Anti-mage should know how much higher your farm efficiency is when you can push lanes into the enemy T2 tower than when you have to ditch it at the river.

The thing is, in this game there are fundamentally threats that you cannot run from. Positioning and a team covering your ass can only do so much for you, and you pretty much have to maintain that level of survivability required to handle those threats. This is why even ranged glass cannons require at least some baseline investment in survivability items (why pure glass cannons that don't itemize survivability lose games). An example here is a 10 second BKB CK. Pops Janggo+BKB, Rifts onto you, 4 second stun. Teammates can't save you, you die before you come unstunned. Can't run/kite because Reality Rift outranges your autoattack. In this scenario the only recourse is having a BKB to pop and fight it out.

So with the 'new' Silencer he can last word the carry or aggressive spellcaster and then ulti which would mean 6 second silence into lastword 6second silence+ disarm O_O... That seems pretty strong shutdown in a team fight

Yeah, but the tradeoff for silencer is that now he is "comboable". AKA Nyx can actually do his full hit + stun + burn + reflect etc combo now, whereas silencer used to be somewhat safe from stuff like that and tiny combo. Silencer's main issue has always been his squishiness + lack of escape, and this REALLY isn't helping. But yes, his lane strength went way up and in the right circumstances he is insane.
