Silencer's main issue has always been his squishiness + lack of escape, and this REALLY isn't helping. But yes, his lane strength went way up and in the right circumstances he is insane. Actually nyx could pretty much do that, just hit stun after silence is over shift queue burn + reflect
should work

Secret promotion to feature Koreya stream.... let me guess: Heyoka?
In the other news, i cant understand the pick of Navi today with their omniknight. Actually, i cant understand omniknight at all. Such defensive hero I never learn how to play him competitively.

Picking RomneyKnight was a political statement by Na'Vi
I dunno, I didn't think the hero was that bad competitively, although admittedly he is very lineup-specific.

I try not to complain about heros/abilities being OP but how the hell do you deal with Centaurs ult. The ability is probably the single most frustrating ability I have had the displeasure to play against.
|
One other question guys -- is there a "Team Liquid of Dota 2" in terms of discussion? Am I on it right now? Or is there a preferred forum for high level discussion, streaming, strategy, tournies, etc?
Thanks, everyone in the Dota 2 community has been super cool so far. <3

As far as I can tell, if they get centaur first you are either stuck picking Naix or hoping the other guy broke his R key.

BKB is the simplest. Drafting Naix helps too, as Naix can shut him down (built in BKB and all that).
It's a tough ult to deal with, and I think it's going to get some nerf love...but it's counterable.

What I was asking is if, say, joinDOTA.com is the premiere discussion forum or if TL's Dota sub-forum is the premiere spot? Thanks!

I post on both, and TL is way, way more active. Not sure why JD isn't very active socially, but it's not. This is a much more active forum. I would say you should probably post on both though, if you want to be deeply involved

Holy shit finally after so much dota/HoN/dota2 I for the first time win a game with all raxes down. I've lost a few but never won. To make things even more miraclous, halfway through the game the only person on my team doing anything useful apart from me, our Centaur, DC'd and had to be microed by my teammates for the rest of the game. We won because enemy 24/7 splitpushing Furion bought a rapier for his deathpush, gave it to our until that point completely useless Sniper, who then got an ultra kill and then another ultra kill as everyone bought back, and my team throned them while our ancient was at 1/3hp with only me on Pudge defending it. Seriously unbelievable to win a game where I'm the only one with a positive score on my team until the last 10 minutes or so.

On one hand i really dont wana promote TL to keep the quality posts up high but i guess to expand the scene that is unavoidable.
Dealing with centaur: Best way is either to pick a naix and just nail him down or pick rubick and steal it yourself(need to be good with rubick however). A bit more complicated could be go naga + ulti/net etc. Personally I have no to little trouble dealing with centaur since i could shut him down from the laning phase.
What is imba: the meta game turn into extreme aggressive pushing. If you go furion in the current patch, 9/10 time you could win quite easy if you know what you are doing. The gold change, dagon nerf, pusher nerf plus several minor nerf on support(boots movespeed down, more nuke),... everything make mid game aggressive play extremely rewarding. Try picking up a Death Prophet or Magnus and you can easily mown down 6 outer tower before 25 mins mark quite easily. Right now i have an extremely hard time using hero with nature low movespeed as stacking escaping items became harder as games just going after the domino effect: lose 2-3 kill early-> lose 6 towers -> lose rosh -> lose game.
In this meta, Centaur fit in perfectly: tank for mid game teamfight, Global escape/initiate mechanism, scale into late game. We nerfed lycan, we nerfed naga and remake them into drow and centaur. A lot of people are suggesting to double the cooldown of his ulti but i doubt that it would change anything. I think the main issue is Icefrog is trying to reduce the average game length but to do that there will be broken part here and there that wont be fixed for a while.

In the meantime there's no real way to counter it except some soft counter. - Buy bkb. - Position yourself. His ulti buff the speed to 522, so if you position yourself carefully, you shouldn't get hit. The basic math should be if your move speed is 360, you should stay out of 750/850/950 range of heroes in order to not get hit. So if you have something like force staff, you shouldn't get hit by his ult. Of course it's easier to be said than done. There're other factors, such as your teammates not knowing how to position, the enemy have forcestaff, blink,....

I'm not quite sure how people think naix counters him when a good Centaur will just save his ult to kite out naix and then run back in to stun once Rage is on cd.
