Makes sense sure, but where do you stop? Why not normalize everything in the game so nothing is left to chance? Surely it would be far more competitive that way.

Chaos Knight would be very unhappy if everything was normalized.

Part of the fun of CK is hoping that you don't stun Rubick for 2s, then he steals it and stuns you for 4s.

Quick question: has anyone had problems ward trapping with shadow shaman lately? I normally just shackle and then shift+click my ulti but the last two times I've done that it hasn't trapped my target. Was I just getting lucky before (when it worked every time), am I just getting unlucky now? How reliable is this method?

It's probably easier to ward trap with hex than shackles. Try it with that

you wanna hex for sure to reduce the collision size on the maf you are trapping.

I thought that in Dota2 hex no longer reduces the collision size of targets?

In WC3 Dota, it worked like that already.

If there was a 50% chance to crit (for example), then it would look something like this
_____
1.[50%]
2.[50%]
_____
3.[50%]
4.[50%]
_____
Basically, critical hits can occur once per box (pretend the lines between 12, and 34 are boxes). It can happen twice in a row (if "2" and "3" critical at the same time).

At the same time, it can miss twice in a row (if 1 crit, then 2 can't crit, if 4 crit, then 3 can't crit).

However what can't happen is that you can crit 3x in a row or you do not crit 3x in a row (Of course, this is using a 50% crit chance as an example since it's easier).

That's how it worked in WC3 Dota AFAIK but not in Dota 2.

? I don't understand ? You could perfectly well crit 4times in a row with a blademaster in wc3. Or did I misunderstand ?

Nah wc3 worked different
everytime you don't crit you chance to crit on the next attack gets higher
everytime you crit it gets reset

never heard of this theory, but having played a fair bit of rhasta I have noticed trap success on a hexed unit is about 100% for me, otherwise much less. Maybe it cause they move slower but I do not think this is the case, as I've trapped some pretty fast animals.

Also, I'm pretty sure stuff is still normalized in DOTA 2, any can confirm it is not?

You can get three crits in a row with 50% (any) crit chance though. Your box method is not accurate.

Also I'm talking about complete normalization. Anything with a proc chance would add a static amount of damage to every attack because we want to get rid of randomness. For example, Buriza would add (.25*2.7*damage) to each attack instead of having a 25% chance to proc for a critical strike.

With a PRN could you theoretically whack away on roshan until you fail to bash 10 times in a row and then get a garuanteed first hit bash on your next target?
NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THAT IN THE HISTORY OF DOTA

Theoretically yes, but in practice it is almost impossible to take advantage of.

Yes, this was also one of the reasons why syllabear was much stronger in DotA1 (it was fp/firstban in the last Chinese DotA1 finals) because its impossible to lane against once it gets to lv5

Whoops . I do vaguely remember reading something similar like that.

Basically hit creep with bear, if you hit 4-5 times without proccing, just select bear -> right click -> almost guaranteed root.

They did show a way better performance than empire though. It would be interesting seeing them clash. Navi is just being navi.

Actually i have a chance watching Navi scrim with EG yesterday on demon stream, they do have some sick secret strat prepare. I am calling a quad lane tmr with axe jakiro.
