If you missed the QQ period of those new heroes, check this one out from PD forum, remember to click on his expansion pack. hahaha quote from that thread, where they are whining on too many escape skills on all the new heroes, courtesy of Draba: "The new heroes are just the product of evolution. The only puny little dipshits that lived to reproduce were the ones that could run from Leo fast enough( screaming like a little girl, of course )."

It's pretty intimidating not knowing what 80% of the hero abilities/items do. :< I'm going to play support, I think... but the whole neutral creep pulling thing that I've seen support players do on streams looks super confusing, will I get raged at if I don't do that stuff properly? Any tips for a first time support player? So I manned up and queue'd for a game.. and I actually thouroughly enjoyed myself. I was playing Lich, his ult does a tonnnn of damage when they're bunched up, thank you whoever suggested him. :p Anyway, in this game I had to go in the long top lane with some hero I'd never even heard of, Shadow Shaman. He had loads of CC (including some kind of supression?), and he was quite a good player, so we got plenty of kills. I tried to follow some item build guide I'd read about Lich in the pre-game, but I kinda forgot half of it.XD I went Tranquil boots and a Mekansm then basically just spammed wards and bought some stealth revealing dust to deal with their annoying Bounty Hunter. Game result pic is in the spoiler cause it's kinda big. I tried not to take kills from my carries, but the way that Lich's ult bounces around it's hard not to. + Show Spoiler +

At the end of the game I was like "COMMENDS FOR EVERYONE!" Such a fun game, everyone knew how to have fun and have a good laugh. Thats what the fck Dota2 is about.

You are allowed to have more than 7 last hits though, if you hadn't won the lane/fights so handily you probably would feel completely worthless. One trick with lich is to sit around where the creeps spawn, and instantly use your deny move. This will mean its obviously off CD faster and you can deny more in the longer run. 1 other thing, you should try and build a wand on pretty much every hero. It gains a charge per each spell cast by enemies around you, and then you can use it to heal based on the number of charges that the wand contains. It is the upgrade of the magic stick that you can buy in the side shop. EDIT: ALSO remember that your ulti has a mini-stun so you can use it to cancel tp's in a pinch.

The ministun on chain frost happens when its cast, not when it lands for further clarification.

Bit of a habit, I guess. :p Its not the same as league, there is no such thing as gold per ten so whatever happens you will end up behind in a HUGE way in dota with 0 farm. Try to keep stacking/pulling creeps in the jungle if you are bot lane as radiant/top lane as dire. Try to take creeps that your carry can't get. If you see a free lane that your carry is not in, go there and farm while carrying a TP incase you are actually needed. lich is fairly hard to "flash" farm with due to the nuke being pretty horrible farming tool, but if needed you can go jungle and kill the small creep camp over and over while stealing mana from lane creeps.

I guess the slow+right clicks might add up to more than the burst? Shadowstrike qop can control mid lane very easily. If he sees you going for a rune, hell just blink past you and/or Shadowstrike, and not to mention that the dot hurts like a bitch very early game. One of the few heroes I hate midding against.
