Fomos' April Fools seems to be that they're opening an English Site. If that's not an intended joke then it will become an unintended joke anyway so not a big deal :3

it would be nice if they did though, but then your role would be diminished.
hmmm, well its a good sponsor as long as they don't play the Jackson 5's ABC song for the MSL.

Looking at the other thread, guess they didn't find a sponsor and are going to skip this season
Normally press don't joke about a company since they can get sued by that company for harming their sales/reputation... so it is probable that this news is true.

I wouldn't joke about anything MBC related. The articles also mentioned the name of the Korean rep for ABC Mart so it's not a joke. Reported by both DES/Fomos.
Edit: I wonder if they'll be giving out free shoes at the MSL ceremony.

Why is it sad? It's a very big sponsor. They're receiving a lot of good responses from Korean netizens.
Its sad because the business is going bad. MBC game and Proleague have been operating at a loss, its no secret. And because of that, it is worrying how they can continue or what will happen to the business. Bancrupcy and liquidation is in the realm of possibilities, especially with the uncertainty around the courtcase.

MBC and Proleague are operating at a loss yes, but why is this news of a sponsor sad? If anything, it will be a boost to MSL/MBC since the sponsor is pretty big.
