This is really exciting, I'm glad New England's FINALLY getting some love :D. It would've been great if there was just anything big in New England this year, but this is the National Championship! AND it's during my Thanksgiving break! Even better :O

I think PAX East was a good indication that we've got some spirit up in NE, and I'm so happy MLG's decided that too!

Man was really hoping there would be another one in driving distance but they did a pretty good job of spreading all these tournaments out across the states.

I can sacrifice some selfishness for the growing of e-sports =)

:o Good catch! I don't think it would be anything extra "special" though, just because MLG is so strict on their 3 day schedule. It's might be a mistake, but you never know.

And I'm happy to see Raleigh in there. Just from Halo history, it's always had great tournaments.

They always say a big part of it is finding a venue large enough and being able to book it for the dates they need. I think they're assumption is that a lot of players fly in anyway/Providence isn't THAT far from other places.

If that is their annual Combine event, it will be to accommodate potentially hundreds more players. Last year D.C. was the Combine event and although it was only three days, MLG didn't have Black Ops on Gamebattles by that time.
