Dammit, I got really excited at first because I thought that it was going to be a foreign cable network(wishful thinking I guess).

However, as others have said, this really is an awesome step in the right direction. Hopefully if this does really well, other networks will maybe consider doing the same. I know G4 had a televised cast of one of the EG tourneys, but I managed to get the unfortunate situation of not being able to watch it.

now all we need are those GSL maps on blizz's pool to make some nice macro games and then more koreans will start to embrace sc2.

Interesting. I heard that parts of GSL were already being broadcast on an obscure Korean channel at an obscure time, though hopefully this new broadcast will be a bit more convenient and well-known.

Hopefully, MBC Game and OGN might consider picking up SC2 once all the KeSPA vs Blizzard legal drama is done. If not, hopefully another high profile channel will.

Speaking about that does anyone know details about Kespa Vs. Bliz?

Back on topic: It nice that SC2 is getting more recognition.

Good translation of the recent happenings in the Kespa Vs Blizzard.

Looks like they'll be doing delayed broadcasts of GSL, GSTL, and other SC2 events that most foreigners don't know about.

AniBox is such a small channel, my apartment in Korea doesn't even carry it as part of their TV package. Nevertheless this is a step forward.

Awesome. This is great news for the sake of SC2 in Korea. Cable exposure would really help the cause.

I love this news. Hopefully the allure of being on TV draws bigger crowds to the GSL.

Sounds like a small TV channel for animation (i.e. aimed at a younger audience).

Of course, any news of SC2 getting more TV time on Korea is good news, but I'm not sure I'm as jubilant as some of you guys considering that we don't even know how big this TV channel is.

Also, since you seem to know a bit about this, could you put in some more information? What's AniBox? How many people will be able to watch it? How many are likely to watch it?
Exacty. I'd love to know this as well. Maybe some of the Korean TLers can enlighten us there.

12 hours a week will allow them to broadcast the best matches each week and not show the really bad ones.
