Wow FXO Boss has a very appropriate name, this guy is a total boss in every sense of the word. It sounds like he has some big plans and isn't scared to throw his cash around to make them happen.

If you want a detailed explanation here it is. We feel that sc2 is going to be more global than brood war was. Because korea hasn't really taken off with sc2. As we have contacts and access to malaysia, we decided that this would be the best hub for a team of our company to be located. As its only a cheap 5 hr flight to korea if they play in GSL. A cheap flight to USA for MLG and a cheap flight to dreamhack. Thus giving us access to the world, rather than being stuck in one corner of the world having to skip planes every 10 seconds to get to an event. Malaysia is also terribly cheap, and our house will be 5 star compared to the houses in Korea. Logistically, we feel its a smart move. I hope this helps with your misinterpretation.

Not that the FXO players are bad, they are very good, but I think that with the resources you guys appear to have, you could sponsor some top notch player that are around.
