I kinda feel bad for TOP as the distinction between Code A and Code S is ridiculously huge (in terms of prizes) and there were some, well, 'undeserving' players in Code S. But he pulled it out and no doubt he will stomp over sanZenith and Legalmind so gl hf to him

Yeah I'm glad he didn't choose Cool because then there would be a chance of someone undeserving being bumped down to code A (whereas now it's certain that someone undeserving will stay in code S though)

YEAAAH! Go TOP! I became an instant fan after watching his games vs MC in the Kaspersky tournament. I'm seriously thinking of starting a fanclub if I could ever get off my lazy ass. (Btw, great question for him when he undoubtedly wins EVERYTHING: Which kind of top do you mean? The spinning top (inception posters shall become dominant) or the "top of your game" kind of top? I'm excited to see Top Play some Protoss players since TvP is such a fun yet frustrating matchup late-game. I'll be tuned in to see his builds and style so i can emulate him on ladder.

Pretty disappointing that the winner of Code A finals doesn't get an auto Code-S spot. That and the prize money is like of the very bottom Code-S player. I think it should be at least a Code-S spot for winning the Code-A tournament.

lol.. top vs fruitdealer is one of the series I remember the most.. he had such a huge lead and threw it away.. if he had just played like 99% of other players wouldve played after killing so many drones he wouldve stopped fruitdealer from winning the GSL.

Good interview. I'm not a fan of the current system for GSL. Movement between leagues seems too hard and too small. For aspiring players, working your way through whatever long process code B will require, only to have to plow throw at least 24 of the 32 members of code A, and then not finishing in the bottom 8 of the 24 players in the up and down matches, seems excessive. And all for that you get a small prize and the ability to play in the next code S. Almost as bad as grinding away as a B-teamer in broodwar. I'd like to see a more fluid and accessible system for new players who didn't necessarily play in GSL's 1-3.
