Woo Hwanii is alive! I was wondering what happened to him! Ask him how he's doing! Hwanii interview sometime after the qualifiers yes? Thanks for all interviews, I'll be checking up on this thread.
awsome. Incredibly fast video upload, and judging from the incontrol interview (watching the rest later) great stuff. Hoping you'll also attend tomorrow. Really appreciate this kind of content from Korea.
lol i bet artosis is bitter about the way that incontroll spoke of him on the "state of the game", but wont say anything cuz incontroll would backhand him to sleep :D
Thanks a ton for this kind of coverage Artosis; it's a real treat for foreigners finally to get near-live video updates from qualifiers in Korea. Awesome.

I want you to bear my children!! haha but on a more serious note, great videos. I love your dedication to the starcraft community. makes me a happy starcraft fan :D
Thanks for the awesome vids Artosis. Definitely hoping a bunch of the foreigners over there qualify. Would be nice to show that the foreigners have just as much skill as the Koreans.

Yeah he's hilarious on SOTG and in that interview.
Thank you Artosis! It is great seeing these right away. Hope your GF doesn't mind you spending 9 minutes following a girl around with your camera. Love the GSL. Premium for all seasons.
Haha it was so funny, I thought you would cut to something else after she won her first game and then: BAM! Second game! At least you controlled your breathing Artosis <3!
Aw, she already lost? I thought it wouldve been very entertaining to see a girl protoss go farther than any other protoss in the history of the GSL >.>

did you see that girls screen when she was playing? I mean no offense to her but anyone who plays with just their army hotkeyed to 1 and NOTHING else doesnt deserve to qualify for the GSL.
on a side note the interview with incontrol was f^&*en funny, he should do some more interviews with people. also good luck to him in his qualifiers.
Fantastic work, Artosis. Your videos are very enjoyable.
Also.. The Artosis interview by incontrol is hilarious. Hahaha, the look on Incontrol's face when Artosis says that the zerg favoured maps are the most balanced maps, so good. Looks like "Yeah, i'm interviewing artosis allright.. no imposer here".

to be fair she used backspace to get to your nexus, and w to get to her warp gates, she only even clicked on the robo(twice) and the cyber core.(once)

Actually a lot of very good players don't even hotkey their army. If i am not wrong RenieHour just drag and click even when is using phoenixes.
Not saying this girl is good or anything but judging people from their hotkey setup is usually not the best thing to do.

I think you misinterpreted. He said in a recent SotG that Tasteless is doing good work for them in Korea.

This is true i just meant that she had not even bothered with the nexus and gateways, but i forgot that warpgates are bound to w so i guess she can be that bad, probably has a bad case of 1a syndrome.

exactly + protoss is the main race you can get away with not hotkeying buildings with unless going for specific strategies.
Its people like Artosis doing the extra things like this that is making Sc2 spread like wildfire atm. Honestly, this is so amazing to see someone going out of their way to improve the foreign e-sport community.
Your efforts are appreciated so much Artosis. Thankyou for all your hard work <3

Maybe Tasteless has been hitting the clubs a little less, ergo the "sober and clean" statement.

I would love to see incontrol interview a korean. lmfao - when they respond with " i will save my prize money and help my parents" he would just fire back "Seriously?! Thats it!? "

Lol Incontrol did it as well then I think Tasteless did it to mock him, good stuff.
This video gets better everytime I watch it. Jinro, Idra, and Tasteless all walk through, Incontrol is sitting behind them for like 30 seconds, and I think tasteless shows off his hairline at 1:56 lol
@Incontrol ... you are a great interviewers, trust me, you were born for this job!!! Try the journalist career if it doesnt work out there with the qualifiers, not kidding!
It's nice to see there are a lot of foreigners showing up to qualify. I sure hope most of them get in. I'm glad both Jinro and Haypro are in. Been waiting for the two to qualify. GO TEAM LIQUID!
Dan is awesome with his coverage of all things Korea with SC2. Thank you for what you do for the community, and I hope you keep on keepin' on with what you are doing. I know that you really enjoy every bit of it, and that is what makes it so much better. I started getting into Starcraft a little towards the end of beta, and ever since I have relied on good people such as yourself to get whatever coverage I could of this awesome game. I especially love watching all things GSL. Whether it be you and Nick doing live casts, or you with the cam in qualifiers, I am all over it.
Dan u stalker! lool btw, great job making those interviews man, keep em coming! I really appreciate your hard work getting coverage of gsl for us here, with excellent viedos and interviews at that. You're awesome! Thanks a lot, and keep it up! :D
That girl Toss seemed like a pretty good mid to high level diamond player, didn't really get to see her late game, but definitely not bad. Her Protoss early game is way better than mine ><.
Also Jinro needs to become friends with Stats and like form a gang or something.
Holy shit Hwanii starts laughing when he says, "it's a hard race" and Artosis' face. Man high comedy there.

Haha, no. I actually practiced a few games only a few days ago with a friendly 2000 rated toss from Scotland.
Well good luck to the guy anyway, i'm sure it'll be alot of fun in korea no matter the results!
Gimble didn't really go there just to qualify, he wanted to go to Korea and experience some SC there. If he would qualify he would be more than happy but he just went there as trip and will be there for couple of weeks.
The experience of seeing GSL 2 final, GSL 3 and meeting some awesome people from community is probably enough for him to have a successful trip.

Fever, coughing, headache, sneezing, thankfully playing the games put me into some kind of Zen-state where I barely had any of the symptoms.
For me personally, being sick allows you to focus all of your attention on a specific task since distractions like noises and sounds don't bother you and also it really helps ease tension in your body since your muscles are relaxing more than normal. I know that I once played in a regional chess tournament while sick and took 4th place (best i've ever done), so yeah, it helps a little.

Interesting...... Maybe I will skip this doctor thing people have been telling me I should go to tomorrow.
Next week you can read about me dying from some rare and easily treatable disease.

Haha, i would not recommended that. I've played piano on stage for the last few years and the things that help me the most are chewing gum and shaking your wrists, also i would highly reccomend a professional massage . Find some cute korean girl to give you a massage the day before your first televised match.

LOL, don't do that. Being sick will be worse for training.
Hahaha! That Incontrol interviewing Artosis video is the best yet. We get to hear the Idra parroting in real time.
inControL: So you're saying scrap station is a balanced map? Idra (background): It's going to be a Terran map. Artosis: It's going to be a Terran map.
It sucks that inControL will be heading home, but we need to squeeze as many interviews as possible out of him before he leaves. Have inControL interview Idra next IMO. Also, we need inControL dual interviewing Tasteless and Artosis at once. <3
ah man, so good to finally hear from haypro again! he was by far my favourite zerg player in the beta, then at the beginning of phase 2, he kind of disappeared.
next to jinro (pre-mlg-jinro ) he's probably one of the most underrated players in the scene today.
its kinda funny i think.. first of all at around 1:45 in the artosis-interview idra says "scrap station is gonna be a terran map" which artosis repeats 1:1
besides, its so strange how many americans (please dont flame me for that) think that the americans will qualify (artosis says he has a chance, incontrol has, idra can win gsl) while saying they dont feel like the europeans (jinro, haypro etc) can. Me as a european and many of my friends (but especially me) dont think neither him nor huk and certainly not incontrol could qualify (i didnt believe haypro or jinro would, but fuck yeah hayder!!!!). And i also disagree with all this idra-hype but.. thats another story :s
but please dont get me wrong, i really WANTED the americans to qualify, especially artosis and incontrol, still hoping for tasteless and idra ofc
Even though he didn't qualify I hope to still see him in some more matches, I find his hidden expansion style so amusing to watch, especially the reckless abandon with which he swaps tech add-ons.
Hadnt heard that much from Torch before. Man that guy seems extremely loyal to his team and to esports overall. A seemingly really cool, chilled, down to earth guy. Gonna have to check out vT gaming a bit more now. And gl for him in the future
i really hope that you actually have some walking around the scenes footage as well these interviews are great don't get me wrong and i love having them but i also love the behind the scenes reels really makes me feel like i'm there anyway good luck i hope you qualify again and thanks for this artosis fighting!!

I agree. Incontrol's casting seems best in moderation. Satire does get old if overused.
these interviews are really great artosis, i can't get enough of them, please keep them coming and i greatly look forward to the 3rd GSL. Foriegn zergs Fighting!!!
That Tasteless "mumbo jumbo" thing was just hilarious. Keep them interviews coming for the next days too!
Seems foreigners got much more outgoing and funny personalities than Koreans based on interviews really. Really hope for more foreigners to get far in this GSL, for more awesome winner interviews.
On November 16 2010 11:07 LeFroMaGe wrote: Anyone else feeling like Incontrol could be a great caster, maybe Tasteosis's 3rd??
I totally agree, he'd make an excellent caster.
Why would you think so? Being funny and commentating are two different things. Surely, funny commentators are the most entertaining ones, but you need to have balance between the two and I don't believe(correct me if I'm wrong) iNcontrol has much experience in commentating, so it would be quite an overstep going to commentate immediately in the GSL. Likewise I'm not sure if you would want to hear some jokes in every other sentence when there should be an analysis of the game...(this last sentence may be a bit prejudiced on my behalf, since my judgement comes only from watching a lot of interviews where incontrol is the interviewee.
So cool to see the coverage of the up and coming GSL. I can't wait for season 3 to start! So I know that Artosis tries to qualify for these but does Tasteless play? It would be really cool to see those guys in the RO64.

I believe Tasteless tries to qualify, I've seen his name on the GSL qualifier threads since season 1. The issue is he's never been a SC2 progamer(technically). From what i've heard he was pretty damn good in SC1 for foreign standards. I'd be willing to bet he's a low to mid-diamond, but thats just not good enough for GSL. He's also a manager for EG so from what inControl said, sounds like he just doesn't have the time.
I know i'm just making excuses for him, but them Plott brothers are just too damn likeable!

Scotland's population is only 5mil, plus there is hardly any PC gamers here, even if there is people who play PC games, I hardly doubt many play SC2... personally I know no one bar one person who plays games on PC.
Most people are Cod+Halo+Fifa addicts
EDIT: BTW not saying he is the best, but we wouldn't essentially have some super high rated player

Yeah, this has a lot of truth about it. I recall saying "maybe" in the interview because I honestly don't know very many other people in Scotland who play SC2 and those I do know aren't in Diamond. So for all I do know, I could well have been the best Scot (obviously this isn't the case at the moment). However, when I return next year, I'm willing to put my pride on the line and take on any challengers for the title of best Scot (we totally need some SC2 tournies in Scotland btw).
But yeah, I wasn't too torn up about getting 0-2'd, I wasn't going into GSL3 with hopes of qualifing and barring massive amounts of good luck, would have been almost ashamed to make it through because my level of play right now isn't up to snuff. On the bright side I'll hopefully have an account sorted by next week sometime to get some practice in and I'm generally enjoying Korea at the moment (except for catching what Jinro had, spent last 2 days in bed ;-.
Also, I've got some of my own content I recorded (including Idra's last qualifier match) and some blog stuff I'll write up maybe tomorrow, so once I find the time and some way to get the videos up, I'll be sure to upload that.
