SK Telecom T1 vs KT Rolster (OGN) Set 1: Grand Line SE Set 2: Fortress Set 3: Empire of the Sun Set 4: Central Plains (Also known as Middle Hill/Source) Set 5: Circuit Breaker Set 6: Aztec Closer: Icarus
I think they wanted to make the total number of matches played the same as last season. So since there are 2 fewer teams, they added 1 extra round. I like WL format, more exciting. =)
Bo7 will be a huge problem for Jaedong-Oz and ACE though but good for Hite-Entus cos more players from their team will get a run.
BO7 is cool but bad for all the good players, it means that there is no way they'll get a break for a week. Unless of course their team wins fast or loses fast.
Interesting. Why are they moving the start times around? If I remember right, on Friday and Saturday nights (in the states) the proleague games were earlier, around 11 EST, is this the same thing thats going on here?
bo7 is awesome, more players will get experience in televized games and teams will have to focus on depth instead of just relying on an ace + random win.
BO7! This is great! More players in teams will be able to show their potential. It would motivate them a lot being able to play in televised matches rather sitting on the bench.

There's no MSL any more? Details please.
While I'm not absolutely sure about this, it's probably because MSL has always had a hard time getting a sponsor and now that the legality of running a league is questionable, they couldn't get a sponsor in time, since gretech is most definitely not giving them a new contract.
I really like this new change in format especially 2 rounds of WL and Bo7 format. Right now it's just too damn easy for Oz/KT who only have to win one round thats not Flash/Jaedong. With a Bo7 it'll be more of a team league and deeper teams will be rewarded. And for teams like Oz/KT/MBC, there are still two rounds of Winner's League so they're not completely fucked.
Doesn't seem to be much of a time slot change either unless I'm very mistaken. Long live PL!
I guess KeSPA is sending a message that it won't back down. Bo7 means top players will play every time, though the burden won't be on them alone since the entire team can now contribute much more then before and fewer games will go to ace. Sounds like a hectic schedule and if they aren't careful more players will defect to SC2. That being said, KT vs. SKT1 on saturday!! Let's go Action vs. Bisu!
look at the stx coach round 5 added like 10 years hite now looks like voltes v and it seems their coach stole his suit and kal seems to be siphoning off inches from other stx players free didnt get the "look macho message" and jds like, "i couldve been practicing..."
Bo7 has been something many people have wanted to see for awhile. Hinders sending out the same 2-3 guys every match + some random other guy. Promotes depth of roster for Proleague instead of just one or two stars carrying the team (coughjaedongcoughcough). Hopefully it works and lets some new blood get noticed more.
So Oz is kinda fucked. SKT and KT should be relatively fine.

why would it be bad? it s like a guarantee fbh and yellow will play
ACE fans will get to see more of their favorites, but just based on statistics, if each player has a lower than 50% chance to win (which we can assume is generally the case), then the more sets, the lower the chance they'll win the set. It's the fundamental reason boX sets are supposed to more accurately show true skill...
i.e. if each ACE player has 40% chance to win, than bo1 = 40% chance for set win. bo3 = 35.2% etc. obviously it's not random but that is the cause for my concern

It's not like if he had been SKT Ace last year. He sat on the bench very well, but although I don't like so much WoL, I still think it's better to have the opportunity of seeing him do something rather than just being there.
Suuuuper excited for PL to start again. Idk if I like bo7, but Woongjin should benefit from it so I guess it's chill. Two winner's league rounds is the best thing ever.

^ Hyuk is also a very talkative/friendly guy. Bisu, not so.

So basically they made everything as epic as it could possibly be. They used middle hill, they have Bo7, 5 days a week, and 1 more round. Awesomeeeee. Edit: Actually, never mind. The loss of Fighting Spirit is far from awesome.
while everyone is whining about how bw is going to die and gretech tries to kill pl and whatnot they actually went ahead and made PL even more awsome this season :D
im so pumped for this, cant wait to finally see some good bw again
i'm a little concerned for oz though... anyway new format seems to be well thought out, i'm so excited for PL to start! show your support for BW everyone!
Oh, no more Fighting Spirit? :O I didn't notice that the first time I checked this thread because I got too excited about the fact that SKT vs KT is just 2 days away. That sucks, it's one of the best maps of all time IMO.
This new format is going to change the team rankings a lot since a team with better depth will be rewarded, so there should be more competition this time around. I'm glad more of the matches are at the 13:00 timeslot though, I don't need to stay up as often ^^
Hyuk is older. The captain is usually the oldest player.
But what happened to Canata? Please don't tell me he committed suicide.
Canata is fine, he was at the media day event too.
Maybe the fomos reporter made a mistake, although that's unlikely. But more likely it's to make Hyuk feel more important to the team after Kwanro's arrival, since their styles are similar and Kwanro has a history with Hyuk.
Also appears from the pictures that Midas and Saint are the new Wemade and MBC captains. My guess anyway.
What is the full map list? Since the map pools in these 2 matches don't match, maybeother games will have even more other maps?
And has there been new news about Estro players draft?
Bo7 is definitely good fo the lower-rank players... But I don't know, it means less likelyhood of games between top players. And longer matches, which makes it harder to watch a match all the way through.

And yes it's very nice to have games again!

So pretty much all new. They'd better at least bring back FS in the playoffs/later rounds/SLs.

wearing white socks to a suit is bad but funny at the same time^^
on topic: this is just the schedule from KeSPA and i can`t see how Blizzard/Gretech will sit still and let MBC cast the Proleague. I wonder how the reaction will look like.
6 Rounds 5 Days a week Bo7, and SC2 already out plus working full time.
There is no way I can keep track of this anymore. Recommended games only it seems (probably not even half of those), too bad
I really wouldn't mind if they would go with 4 days a week and a few less games overall, it's just too damn many, even when I've had more time on my hands.

I noticed only the captains and ace players went on stage during media day (Fomos says Flash didn't attend cos of personal reasons). Does this mean Oz still regards killer as their second ace?

That wouldn't explain why SKT would send Best. I'd expect Bisu, or more likely Fantasy.
Damn, I really like this new format. Oz might be screwed though, but I guess if Jaedong and Hiya manage to keep to the levels of last season then Killer Lomo and Backho could probably get 1 or 2 wins frequent enough to get them to an ace match.
Now lets just hope to god that the league won't die to the legal ramifications.

You forgot MoustacheZerg, PirateZerg, and OzSucksBallsWithoutMe, the new zerg recruits !

No idea, but the rest had Sea, Free, Kal, Ruby, Leta, Baby and Stork on other than their captains.
Oh, Oz's first match is against Hite. Will be interesting to see if Jaedong can continue his 20 game win streak against them now that they have merged with CJ

I do this all the time. It looks cool, and white shoes too. Black on black is just bland and boring.
Anyway, Hyuk as captain lol. He always looks so serious, the B-teamers will be too afraid to talk to him. Although I guess he might be more loosened up when in the team. I think Best would be the best captain. He seems like the most social out of their veterans.

Excited for Bo7's and new maps. Although I think bo7's will be bad for jaedong oz. (oz lost sooo many matches 1-3 last season with jaedong being their only win)
"This year, we don't have 5 Rounds, but we have 2. Round 1 will be regular Proleague format, and Round 2 will be a lawsuit filed by Blizzard and Gretech."
Good gosh, I just read that MBC is currently without a Head Coach/Manager. Mumyung was not hired to replace Coach Ha but hired as a regular coach before Coach Ha resigned. Pusan however is now a probationary playing coach.
Shit just got real. Can't believe I can see BW once again. To it off opening match is sex (aka. SKT vs. KT). Will the mascot appears? Bisu's 3 years old fan?
Woo! Although I don't like having to stay up super late in order to watch proleague. :p I'm excited about the new format though, and hope everything goes off without a hitch.
