I think they are the worst team out of Denver/Portland/Houston to face the Lakers. They are gonna get SMASHED.
Agree. I think they might be a better overall team than the other two, but they match up so poorly against the Lakers because there's no one to put on Kobe. Then again, we could always see some surprise performances.
Denver has a lot of potential only if Carmelo would adjust better with Billups; put he's problems (bottles) aside and be beneficial plus effective to the fullest for he's team. I think we will see if he can have a major impact or not. LeBron and Wade have proven themselves. Now it's time to see if Carmelo can take the pressure what is needed in order to win Championships. Denve is in very good position
melo melo melo..he's amongst the top scorers in the league, his team is 2nd in the west and he's arguably one of the top talents the NBA has to offer...but he is yet to be mentioned in the same regard as wade/kobe/lebron/paul etc...i don't see that happening unless he can get his team past the first round

I think if anything they were underrated as a 2 seed. They handled the Hornets with almost no trouble in these games so far (yes I know they lost one). I think Denver matches up better then any of those other teams against LA.

Who ever has anyone to put on Kobe? You think Artest is going to be able to shut him down? Or who from the Blazers could step up?
I'm looking at the scores now and Kobe actually torched the Rockets pretty badly during the regular season, but he had a lot more problems against the Blazers. I didn't watch any of those games so I don't know what they did, but I know the Nuggets don't have anyone they can put on him.
Celtics turning the ball over a lot, but are defending really well. They're getting their hands on the ball on most of the Bull's layups/inside moves and more importantly without fouling. Gordon's shooting well to keep the bulls in it.
Celtics bigs having a lot of success inside.
Gordons going to stop missing and the celtics are going to stop turning it over, and a small celtics lead is likely to balloon.
Gordon starting to miss. Rondo on the pick and roll, gets a layup past Heinrich ... and then gets right back in the Bull's face for a full court press.
http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-38-181/Your-Nightmare-Defender--All-Star-Sunday-Edition.html Ray Allen: Ron Artest. He doesn't really care if he fouls you or not. He's going to make sure you feel him. He's going to do something like clamp down on you physically. Whatever it is, he's going to force you away from the basket and make the referee make a call. The best way to beat him is just keep moving.
Rashard Lewis: Ron Artest. He gets into you. He's so aggressive on the defensive end and they let him get away with a couple of fouls. He really has to hit you in order for them to call a foul on him. You have to be aggressive, strong, and physical to beat him. You have to take the contact, then try to go through the contact.
And the nuggets are bad? What exactly do they have to do to convince people they're good? Win by 50? People seem to think this is the same nuggets as the last few years.
As well as the Rockets are playing, opponents being able to halve Yao's production by fronting him is troubling. Adelman should have figured out a counter by now. Without Mutombo, the Rockets will have trouble dealing with a double big Lakers lineup.
Noah has actually looked really good this game. G2 his stats were decent but his play was still terrible, but tonight he's definitely doing a good job on D and getting some great rebounds.
Allen is really getting jobbed on calls. The last two have been pretty iffy, especially for playoff basketball.
HOLY SHIT. 1. How can Del Negro NOT take a TO there? 2. I can see how that's a double foul, but Miller set a moving screen that led to it.
Does Starbury really have a fucking star tatoo on his head?
