I am interested in seeing how far Denver can go. The way they have been playing, they are going to be a lot for any team in the NBA in a 7 game series. Seeing Wade carry Miami makes me wonder how great he would be on a team with help. He will be a free agent after this year right? Wade on the Cavs...*wetdream*. Lakers, Portland and Houston are all better than Denver

Portland and Denver split regular season games at 2 - 2. Not sure how that makes Portland better than Denver. Both Rockets and Lakers won most games against Denver in regular season so I won't argue with you that those teams edge Denver in the regular season, although, anything can happen in the post-season. Lakers of course are the odds on favorite for the West, but Denver has caught my eye as a hungry team that is playing well and not making many mistakes. Billups was a great pickup for them. Portland and Rockets both get more press as the main contenders to the Lakers in the West, but I think Denver has a better shot to stop the Lakers than either of them. Mavs also are playing like they want to prove everyone wrong, so they might be a darkhorse to watch out for. Go Cavs!

"Who do you see in the West even having a chance of beating the Lakers?" only two teams pop up: Houston and Portland. The problem with Denver all rests with Carmelo Anthony just not being dominant. Sure he can score and pass, but he isn't an S-level superstar like Lebron,Wade, or Kobe.

Kobe makes these crazy shots (the 18 foot fallaway) that few other players can make. However, he and the Lakers can make a lot of shots at a better percentage. This game he was getting better elevation and separation off of his face-up jumper. In game 3, he looked off balanced and crowded. And can Kobe dunk on drives anymore? He always lays it in and only dunks on fastbreak turns, whereas you see Ariza doing reverse slams.

Well I can see Kobe more and more like MJ, where as he relied more on his jump shot and not taking into the basket as much.

He is obviously brilliant, but overall, there's just no arguing that MJ outclasses him in almost every category except a small margin in 3pt% and a meh margin on FT%. Especially come playoff time. MJ is the playoff king who is the definition of clutch. There really was no stopping him. don't call him a worse version of MJ. he is kobe, and jordan is jordan. kobe is undoubtedly a better shooter than jordan. jordan gets the upper hand in driving to the basket. kobe is better in some areas, and jordan in others. overall, i agree that jordan is the best player to ever play the game, but let's not call kobe as an inferior version of jordan. i might actually say that in terms of pure offensive abilities, kobe is better.
