What I find weird is that they removed Bynum in the 3rd after apparently fouling out, but I didn't count 6 fouls. They removed him in the 2nd because he picked up his 3rd. Then they brought him on in the 3rd and picked up 2 quick fouls. How did he foul out?

Box scores says Bynum had 5 fouls. Did he get a flagrant?

Jazz had a 15 rebound edge and they still almost lose. 5 more turnovers. If I were Jerry Sloan, I'd pull his classic "are you trying to get me fired?!?"

In my amateurish opinion, I think Kobe stupidly. He took a lot of contested jumpshots without even giving time for Gasol and Odom to set up for an offensive rebound. Yes, Bynum got in foul trouble, yes, Gasol was missing a few shots from the paint, but 1) those are still higher percentage shots than jacking up low shot clock jumpshots with a hand in your face, 2) they have a chance of getting fouled and getting an offensive board, and 3) the Jazz are scared of your length, so those shots will set up Kobe for quality perimeter shots and drives.

Second, in spite of being blocked and called for offensive fouls, Kobe has to drive more to the basket. It's not a triple threat if you're going to keep going for the jump shot.

he got pulled out because he was playing fucking terribly.

the Lakers overall played like total garbage. Utah played like garbage for 3 quarters, then played one really strong quarter and won it.

ugly game, and Utah toughed it out, good job to them

Kobe just couldn't get anything going. He needed to drive and dish it come late in the fourth when he knew he was having trouble getting his jumper to fall.

that laker jazz game was pretty sick...both teams were executing extremely well down the stretch, one after the other...and kobe what the fuck kind of shot was that?? fucking fade away 3 pointer...he had tons of time for one dribble to get into rhythm...oh well another shot added to his growing list of missed game winners

I actually hoped that Phil Jackson would bench Kobe for making such stupid mistakes. Phil seriously should show who is running the Laker show and who the Lakers alpha male is. Kobe's finger injury is clearly bothering him. He's worn out. Maybe just admit it and stop playing like a gambler who thinks that maybe next shot will fall in? He has played he's B game for way too many months. Yeah he's the shooter, but if shooters shots are off most of the nights then maybe it's time to do something?

I doubt his finger is doing anything but you're right about if a shooter is off, maybe he should've passed it. The drive in and pass to Gasol worked well, not sure why he didn't try that earlier. Kobe lovers (not saying I'm a hater of him) could argue that he is clutch and there's no doubt about that; however, if you're going to take the buzzer three pointer, at least get a little closer.

Anybody watching Detroit? I don't much care for Detroit, never really liked or disliked them, but as a basketball fan I'm totally disgusted not only with the way they're playing, but their entire attitude. Their body language is just like "I can't wait until we get swept so I can go on vacation". Their entire team with the exception of Will Bynum and maybe Stuckey have called it quits. Nobody is playing with any pep or energy, they're just lazily going through their offense.. it's sickening to watch.
