but that part i quoted was not fair and simply character assasination, a dirty tactic often used in politics (the whole smear campaign). calling someone out on a past moral failing in lieu of a direct logical response to discredit whatever they say from that basis is just not fair. i dont really care either way but thats one thing that annoys me and i wanted to point it out. flame away...

Have you matured, Rekrul? I for one think, that while this thread could have been avoided, it was necessary. The way you did it though was uncalled for, especially since you knew what type of response you would get from the community.

You yourself said you love to stir shit up. The big question is why, and the answer isn't so hidden as you think.

To me Idra has always been an arrogant classless idiot since he got semi-decent at Starcraft. I understand though, it's because he never amounted to anything in America in social standards that he has to act high and mighty once he reaches something. I just see it as underdeveloped social interactivity skills or whatever. He got picked on in elementary and high school for being pretty nerdy, got away from the world with Starcraft, got good at it and is now on a high horse for the first time in his life. Kind of the same thing as a fat female office manager being a bitch to her employees (Wanted anyone?) after she has been picked on in her entire high school life. It probably has to do with a good deal of maturity issues as well.

When it comes down to it though; he's overly defensive and can't take a loss resulting in him being a classless immature kid and creating a shitstorm like this with the the help of a rekrul-catalyst. The only reason people still respect him is because he's good at a computer game that no-one will care about in 5 years tops. Yay for Idra.

All in all he could definitely learn from shit like this if he takes away the arrogance and pride within him but I doubt he's able to. If he doesn't want to change his ways towards the public he shouldn't talk to the public at all (like those pre-game chats or the post-game comments).
