For all the Robinho hate going on here, hasn't he been one of Madrid's best players the last two seasons?
I only follow La Liga through match reports and highlight videos, but I was under the impression he saved real madrid's ass a fair share of times, especially in the 2006~2007 season where real seemed to be coming back from 1 or 2 down every other game.
Played an important part in last two winning seasons, and now he'll be sold for a shitload of money! I think that's a pretty decent situation.

That was a beautiful goal by Di Maria in the Gold medal match. I really hope he goes to a premiership club or something. The kid is talented.

I really hope he doesn't. With an attacking front of Reyes, Aimar and Di Maria, it's really a shame that Benfica isn't in the champions league this year.

if I could sell robinho and buy huntelaar and gain money from the trade i'd do it instantly I'd prolly trade them evenly honestly huntelaar just scores goals like well almost nobody else

With Robinho gone, Real M just has 2 wingers, Robben and Drenthe, and Robben is injured for half of season always T_T. Drenthe is future player.... Getting replacement this late might be hard. Silva signed new contract and Valencia dosent sell players to Real M that often... Porto asks really really much for Queresma and then theres Capel....
Robinho really never got into level he can play @ Real M.

Real Madrid can put Marcelo on left wing, since he'll probably do better as a winger anyways (psh brazillian fullback, can't defend :D).

I wonder when the berbatov deal will go through, I hope it does.

I really hope the Berbatov deal doesn't go through. I'm getting so tired of players who, when they want to leave for a new club, just stop playing for their old club. They signed a contract were they earn 2 mill+ euro's a year and they knew what they signed, so start working for your money. This way contracts aren't worth anything anymore, if you want to move to a new club, just stop playing.

anyone seen the match between RM and Val? I must say I was shocked to see the stats, can't wait to watch the highlight

Berbatov wasn't in Juande Ramos plans anymore tho so with the transfer money he can build the team he wanted. i got nothing against this kind of things, the things that pissess me off is when clubs don't agree on an amount and the player wants to get out. (Robinho , C.Ronaldo , etc)

Berbatov was left out of the squad because his head was somewhere else. Which means that he basically can't be arsed playing for Tottenham anymore. So by showing a lack of interest and by not working as hard as he should do he is forcing a transfer to a diffirent club. Tottenham had no intention of selling him before he started behaving like this. This is what I dislike about the situation.
That said, Chelsea and Arsenal were dissapointing this weekend, but at least Chelsea managed to scrape the win. Congrats to any Stoke fans out there on their first win. Curious to see what United will do today. And can't wait till the dutch competition starts again this weekend.

Here you are.
Awesome game. Valencia gets 0-1 and then Van der Vart gets a red card for a bad tackle (39'). At the begining of the second half Van Nistelrooy makes the equalizer with a penalty kick, minutes after he gets a second yellow and is also sent off. 1-1 and Madrid with 9. Even so, Madrid dominated with a wonderful Robben dribbling alone everybody (I hope Robinho watched him closely). In one of his slaloms he gets a corner kick, Diarra headed to the post and Ramos put it in. 2-1 with 9 players, (4-4 aggregate but Madrid leading for goals away). De la Red and Higuaín come in and both score: De la Red with a long shoot over the keeper and Higuaín after stealing a bad pass to the keeper. Finally, Morientes gets a goal for Valencia at the added time but the deal was done.
Rumours here: Madrid won't sell for less than 45 million euros. They have two forward targes (even from before Robinho's issue) Villa and Huntelaar. Villa signs today his new contract with Valencia, and the offer for Huntelaar will be 25 million euros. The replacements for Robinho are Capel (Sevilla, his price tag is 14m), Joaquin (Valencia) and some say Di María (Benfica).
My personal bet(what I think is more likely to happen) is Robinho out, Joaquin in (cheap, Valencia needs money and his position is covered and is getting old) and Huntelaar over Villa, but probably if Chelsea does not pay enough, there won't be any signings.
EDIT: Real Madrid vs Valencia 2nd Half (100mb) If you like Arjen Robben, this is a MUST HAVE. An awesome performance by the dutch.

players who have no loyalty do kinda suck but you cant really blame someone who plays for a team with no ability to ever win anything big for wanting to leave
but of course players like le tissier are way, way cooler than those who always want a new signon fee.. (giggs isnt really the same kind of player, because he's never been able to go to a _better_ club. )
le tissier unfortunately seems to be a dying breed anyway. he was such a hero.

I don't really see why RM need to sign more players, they have got quite a few in the youth team that can be trained up easily. I thought RM issued a statement saying that they are not going to sell, the only way for Robinho to leave is to buy out his contract which sucks to be honest.
EPL has started and results has been weird, although only two game so it doesn't mean a lot. But only two team with winning start, and teams like Spurs and Portsmouth who is expected to challenge for CL have no points.
