That is a problem, why anyone really thinks liverpool has a chance is something I cannot comprehend. They are kind of a two man team, and a title won't be won like that, I will not say anything bad about liverpool (as long as rafa stay) if they win the title with the current team, be it alonso or without. I still think United is a top team, as long as their defensive unit stay the same. I also think Arsenal got their upgrade with Adebayor and Toure sold.

And both of them are reasons why liverpool don't suck defensively. lets me be honest, carragher is overrated, and their side backs are relatively trash compare to the other top 4 last season. Reina is...... I rate him as a keeper, but he is too short to survive in the EPL, as we have seen quite a number of times. if you refer "win games" as scoring goals, then no they don't. But im sure Gerrard / Torres woudn't had "won " those games if it wasn't for a perfectly placed ball from Alonso or Masherano doing all the dirty work , tackles, rescue balls and feed it to the forwards or to Xabi alonso. This pieces are key for a team to work. But yeah i Agree the backline is not as good as Chelsea, Man.U ,etc. but they are solid at least imo. Dunno what will they do to replace Alonso tbh i heard they bought Aquilani, but guess we'll have to wait to see. btw: Man.U vs Valencia for anyone interested ![]() http://www.iraqgoals.net/ch1.html

Btw Man U beat Valencia 2-0 which I think is a pretty good result. Liverpool also played a team called Oslo I think and beat them with the same score. Liverpool has definately got some major defensive problems now that will hurt them against teams like Chelsea and Man U. Another interesting note is that Man City lost to Rangers (SPL champions). I guess their all-star signings still can't prevent them from being scored on 3 times, with 1 of those goals coming as a game winner from a 39 year old Ranger forward.

If those players can synergise and play to their full potential with each giving EQUAL amounts towards a team effort then the Premier League is as good as won already. Chelsea doesn't need more players, they need more teamwork. If they can get some combinations/chemistry going they're set. Here's to hoping they do, coz I'm sick of Man U. and Fergie. I hope they bomb this year and next year and nex year... anyone that's prepared to sell ronaldo for 80 million pounds is an idiot! That's the second time Fergie's ego leads to a HUGE player exiting the club. Think about it, you sell ronaldo for 80 million pounds and you'll need AT LEAST half as much money to buy someone that can replace him. That's just the transfer fee! Then you'll have to pay a huge wage as well. It completely defeats the purpose of the sale in the first place!!!!! Honestly, no one can run and pass like ronaldo. Forget the goals and the flashy tricks, the guy is just a NIGHTMARE for the defense.... BLEH! I'm cut and I'm not even a Man U. supporter!

And doing so, he broke a transfer record. What's the big deal? lol
