Obama really needs more points when it comes to foreign policy. How can you expect to win a debate on foreign policy when your answer is always "I opposed Iraq"?

McCain is overdoing the cockiness.

Yes, I think that is right by and large. Both go both ways but overall this is probably right.

I think the verdict of this debate will be the same as the last one. Obama wins slightly on the economy. McCain wins slightly on foreign policy.

This debate was too similar to the last one for me to be that interested.
Live to win.

Unless something changes, I think that McCain will be the winner in this debate.

How the hell do you figure that?

THese arent debates its them just talking about their ideologies

You either agree or disagree with them.

I simply think that McCain is connecting better. When I try to pick who won, I try not to think about who I support, but rather who connected better and seemed knowledgeable.

Thats why I think so far its been: 1st--tie, VP--Biden wins, 2nd--So far McCain performing better

define "connecting better"

?

Its a feeling and its subjective.

so its whether you agree with him or not.

hes connecting with YOU. ... that means there is no DEBATE.

Fail. I disagree with Biden but thought he connected better and seemed more knowledgeable.

It is possible to analyze 2 people's performance and agree when an adversary does well and when an ally does.

Anyway, its irrelevant. I threw out my opinion. You should state yours if you want.

my opinion is that there is no debate here.

You either agree with what Mccain says or Obama says. Its not like they are bringing up points or counter points like a real debate. I personally agree with Obama since he seems much more like your average person than Mccain. The republican Ideology to me is a joke too, so while the first debate I was surprised that Mccain could talk and said he did better than I expected, nobody should "change" who they are voting for by these debates. Just think rationally through what they are saying and what has been going on and where you stand with your "values" and how your "values" affect other people.

edit:

as for the Biden Debate, I can kind of see what you are saying, but that doesnt apply to Mccain or Obama because neither of them are remotely close to the stupidity of Palin.

How do you go from where you are to where you want to be? I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life. You have to have a dream, a goal and you have to be willing to work for it. Jim Valvano

Obama is really blatant when he starts dodging questions. "I came from a single parent family" when asked what he doesn't know?!

Look! Look! McCain's first sentence is so bloody spot on. "What I don't know is what we all don't know." Great answer.

McCain doesn't know what everyone else doesn't know. Zen like answers for a Zen like question. I think Rumsfeld could potentially answer this.

McCain's swollen left Parotid gland is starting to pull down his eye. Jesus is this man going to make it another 4 years? I wonder what he would look like without makeup. A walking corpse might be a good analogy.

I'm out. Good debate. Made me hopeful that McCain just might still have a chance.
