In the Democratic Debate, Cooler Heads Prevail
Finally, having had that precious last word, Clinton then complained about getting the first word. The prefatory health-care wrangle over, Williams turned to Clinton and asked the first formal question of the evening. She got mad all over again: "I seem to get the first question all the time" at the debates, she grumbled. Oh, she does? Well -- so what? Isn't there rather an advantage to speaking first? Is there perchance a vast right-wing conspiracy afoot?
In the former category, at least, which is all we're judging in this column, Barack Obama was the victor by a hundred miles or so -- not as moving and electrifying as in his best speeches, but never in any trouble, either.
So in other words she just bitched all through the debate?

I totally ignore intrade.
Tim Russert was an immense dick during that debate. All he showed was how much dumber he was than both of the candidates on the stage.

Obama's performance in the debate was rather passive. He seems really confident that he can edge her out in Texas and possibly in Ohio as well. He didn't really attack, just clung on tight to his advantage. I admit, if I were him, the moment she brought up her "ready to lead from day one" line I would have pounded her on her change of campaign manager, the fact that she ran out of money and the fact that she didn't even bother to campaign in lots of states. What kind of leadership from day one is that?
I also find the way they're operating their campaigns and the way they attack each other on the campaign trail really interesting because it reads almost like Sun Tzu's Art of War!

Yeah, I find that really lame. How disrespectful is it to voters if you don't campaign their state because they don't have a million delagates like big time states like Cali?

Had Obama in any shape or form attacked Clinton she would have just accused him of being sexist, seeing how that is what her campaign is doing to make up why she is losing. All Male voters are voting for Obama because he is a man and she is a woman. If they can't play the race card, then they will pull the gender card and see how that goes.
Also, if she wins Texas and Ohio, it matters how big she wins it, not if she does correct?

correct lol
has to be like 15 points

if clinton wins both ohio and texas then she gets momentum, and can make the argument that she's got all the big states, and can probably drag things out to a messy convention.
it's pretty important that obama force at least a split decision on march 4 if he really wants to deliver the knockout blow (anybody who knows clinton knows that an emphatic knockout blow will be required)

I wish Hilldog would just fuck off.
Does anyone else think she moves and talks like a Terminator? We all know what's going on here.

it hurts my ears to listen to clinton speak. she should definitely go back to whichever hellish alternate future she came from

It's so weird how the democrat vote is split.
Mostly younger, first time voters are coming out for Obama. Old hags and femnazis are coming out for Hillary.

which he will. She has good chances in ohio, but texas is really starting to turn in obamas favor. Even if she wins it by just a bit, its not going to help her.

I just hope its all over soon. Just lose the election and please don't expect to be vp.

neither of them have a VP yet?

Rasmussen poll said Obama up by 4% in Texas, some other poll said Hillary by 4%.
