btw, have you all seen the financial worth of these candidates? I was reading through money magazine, and most candidates have about 50million in assets. with the exception of obama, who barely has 1million. but still.. comon thats still a shitload. But my biggest surprise (and disgust) was Mitt Romney. 200million! albiet he is a businessman, it's rather sickening to my idea of democracy and the mudded politics that Romney is winning by such a big margin in the early times. I mean.. this guy didn't even start his campaign when everyone else was. He was like, "ohh why not start in feburary next year" even if he was joking, his actions say otherwise. Is that the attitude of someone who really wants to better this country or someone who's just going to use the office and leverage that position of power for more money and who knows what other devious schemes. We saw Bush the elite of the elite oilman fuck up our economy as well as fuck up a whole nation. Hilary isn't so clean of strings either. in fact most candidates represent the wealthy and elitist interests. As i know it, only Ron Paul is the one who doesn't give in to elitist buisness ties, the only one who actually believes and wants to obey the constitution. The source of funds says a lot; endorsement money that wants something in return for most of these generalizing, twofaced, constitution shreding agents of corporations, compard to 6 million in one day donations from people across the nation. ill admit my point of view is not unbiased, but let me ask, who does that? politicians these days would never dare to do what ron paul did: running on true constitutionalism with no corporate interests and trusting the people to fund them. No, you must first get rich by snobbing with the wealthy, and then serve their interests in office. Anyways, im pretty disgusted with America. I am now discovering how enslaved we are, even compared to Communist China. America has so many do's and don'ts... we pay almost half of our income to the government, you can't even bulid a house on a piece of land you buy with regulations after regulations and expensive requirements. and thanks to bush, the fbi can just take you away, torture you, and convict you without a lawyer or trial. If they fucking say you're a terrorist, you're a fucking terrorsit. While we ignorantly sing "land of the free and home of the brave", we in reality are the land of the weak and home of the slave" Our problems arise becaues we deviate from the constitution. banking, overtaxing, foreign entaglements. The constitution is the answer, and the only one backing that up right now is Ron Paul.
paragraphs exist for a reason and your points are absurd

God, you guys make me absolutely nuts!!! I can't believe how gullible you guys are!!!! SO JUST BECAUSE THE GUY MAKES SOME LAME ASS SPEECH, AND IS SO CHARISMATIC AND THE FACT THAT HE IS BLACK, SUDDENLY MEANS HE'S GOING TO MAKE AMERICA BETTER? PLEASE FOR GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK!!!!!
Here's just a list of examples of why you shouldn't vote for Obama: Obama voted for the PATRIOT Act Obama voted for REAL ID Obama voted for further funding in Iraq Has hinted would support sending troops to Iran John Kerry endorses him Obama has hinted at sending troops to Pakistan etc
When your voting for a candidate be sure to look at ALL ISSUES AND ALL SIDES, JUST BECAUSE ONE CANDIDATE IS IN A SIMILAR STANCE AS YOURS ON ONE ISSUE DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR HIM OR THE CANDIDATE WILL TURN OUT AS YOU EXPECTED!!!
and many other things, face it guys. He's just another status quo candidate who's supported by the corporations in control of America with its complete control over citizens, thanks to Neo con buddies inc. He mentions vague notions of change but will change little at all and has already hinted of doing so. Why is Ron Paul not receiving enough coverage by the corporate media? Why was Kucinich doing so bad? Its because the establishment don't want brave people like them, changing the status quo!!! Most of the media are deliberately trying to have the likes of Kucinich and Paul not have a voice and weaken their support!!!!! Just look at the videos of the Republican debates and the coverage the two receive from the media, all of the evidence is right there!!! Everything is right there!!!! Those small people in power whom orchestrated the Iraq war and our abysmal foreign policy have no interest in us or we the people!! They are deliberately taking money out of our pockets, just look at what is happening guys!!! LOOK AT OUR ECONOMY!!! ITS MOSTLY THE RICH AND THOSE WHOM HAVE A MONOPOLY OVER THE PRESENT SYSTEM THAT ARE GETTING ALL THE BENEFIT!!! Don't let the media choose candidates for you, you choose the right candidates!!!
I will stand by my original statement, Obama is no hope or change but yet another one coming. Btw for all those voting for Mitt Romney I found an interesting video of an interview by a popular radio host:

Alright let's look at all issues. Patriot Act- That's after he ammended it when there was no way of blocking its passage. Iraq, yes every senator democratic and republican voted for funding in Iraq. But Obama has always opposed the war in every statement he has made about the war. The continued funding was to avoid making it a political issue. On Iran, no he has not hinted that he would sent troops there, never hinted never said. That's just not true. His statements you were referring to are based on the security of Isreal. John Kerry is a respected and experienced legislator and fought heroically in the war. On Pakistan, he has said if the US has actionable intelligence on Al queada leaders and Pakistan for some reasons refuse to cooperate than he could potentially strike militarily. That does not mean troops. Killing a few man in a cave doesn't mean you have to send in battalions of marines. You underestimate the capabilities of the US military. On real Id, I have no facts on.
When you are picking you presidents, you have to keep in mind that you aren't going to agree with him/her on everything. But you have to trust him to make the right decisions with sound judgement. Anyways, the fact that he is a charismatic and inspiring communicator is a bonus. His speeches bring people up, not down. Part of the job description of being a great president and a great leader is making the greatest use out of the bully pulpit the inspire your people and people around the world.
And that thing on Hillary is so pathetic. Voting based on gender is stupid.
Voting on anything other that the quality of the candidate himself and his ideals is not just stupid, it's fucking retarded and you should be castrated. People who vote based on religion, gender or race make me fucking sick.
How is religion not part of the quality and ideals of a candidate?
How is it? Me being Protestant (on paper) doesn't influence my moral and values at all. An atheist can have the same political aims as a faithful catholic, don't you think?
It's not labels I'm concerned with, but rather the actual religious views.
Take Pat Robertson for example. He ran for president in '88. I don't care what he calls himself, but I do care about the fact that he believes "the rapture" is imminent. Why? Because such a belief impacts what sort of decisions he's going to make in office. "The environment? Who gives a fuck, the rapture is coming."
hmmm i said it wrong. i meant it as the people who vote for someone because 'hey, he's christian, he's got ther right ideals!' are idiots. Not voting for someone like pat robertson is good lol. People in politics shouldnt have any aspect of their faith influencing them at all.
Edwards dropping out it seems. Good for Obama, most likely.

just fyi, both guiliani and edwards dropped out today for obvious reasons
afaik,
Guiliani ===> McCain as far as voters go and Edwards has no endorsements towards any of the other democratic candidates, which isnt suprising.
and to MenzieK, you'd rather have one of the republicans rather than obama? (assuming he makes it to the primaries)
Though, i dont think that obama has much of a chance on super tuesday...too many of the big states have huge support for hilary, my guess is that it will be McCain v Hilary in the end, i know who i'm voting for then.
"Among Democrats, Barack Obama, often described as ideologically more "moderate" than Hillary Clinton, actually has the larger agenda of the two ($287.0 billion vs. $218.2 billion)."
You can have your national health plan, but be ready to pay an additional mean of $1000 of your income in taxes for it, in addition to another $2000-3000 to make good the present budget shortfall. (In addition to another several thousand to replentish the social security fund.) Failing that, you're borrowing against your own futures.
