It's not because of him, I don't know how disciplined he can follow a training routine and how strong he is mentally to stay focused. I just think he cannot live in Korea. It will be another world for him, he will feel that way every single day. It may cause him to question his decision again and again. Sooner or later he will ask himself what he's doing in Korea when he could have a good life somewhere else. He will most likely lose his aim after some time - feeling that he's walking in circles - and then he won't play SC with heart anymore. That will be his return to normal life, back home, finding a job, etc. Or in the worst case he will become another poker-freak... ![]() Everyone needs something where he can go back to at any moment in his life. I highly doubt Testie can break the rules of life, no matter how hard he tries. Hahah what is it with SC players becoming Poker fanatics?

When I thought about it, I was glad, but in deep thinking; beecause at WCG, Testie did absolutely horrible, 1-3'ing in the group (the forfeit win was his only win). But I suppose he was in the 'group of death'. So why would CJ jump aboard for another contract offer? Obviously they aren't basing their offer on the event they were at. He's showed great potential at BWWI/Blizzcon/PGL even if he was loosing those matches which sparked their interest. Remember the match against bisu on Blitz X? If he was giving a good performance then at like 170 apm and practicing intermittently with DOTA and poker, imagine his potential in Korea. I'd imagine that's where they are coming from.

In any case i really doubt he will be going to Korea, and if he dodes he might have somewhat of an impact on 2on2/proleague scenee, but he won't win a starleageu or advance far at all in any major leagues. If he goes, best of luck, if he doens't, GL in Sc2 or whatever else you may do with your life. Also i'm waiting for the Testie post to clear this up. And on a side note, i'm kind of surprised haji didn't post in here yet.

http://teamliquid.net/blog/incontrol + Show Spoiler + Anyways, this is the day of the amazing gamers clashing. Dissy was very nervous and wanted to get the games rolling. I read into this as a good sign. He says he doesnt care or expect much but I know better He just says that so nobody gives him shit if he loses and is more surprised when he wins! He REALLY wanted to do well (and thank god he did!). Nick on the other hand fully didnt expect to do well and I think really didnt care. Although, this event I believe rekindled his spirit as well. Actually i realized after i posted this that it says it "rekindled his spriit" meaning that if he got offered that, maybe he would take it, who knows?

Edit: According to that hilarious inc blog, Testie was invited and theres a 90% chance he will go, i'm happy he got his motivation back, and inc i think we can all agree we need TeamLiquid INTERVENTION.

somewhere i read about him "prolly the man who has played the most games on earth" based on that i wouldn't think that he will improve as much to let him join individual leagues. Maybe he is also already too old. Being owned up by a kid like Flash because of superior reactions isn't working as intended. (well white-ra is 29 and still does it.. but that's also not the perfection geared progamer level outside korea) talent wise he is surpassed by other foreigners like SEn, draco, mondi, lx ... they prolly had more potential to have a shot over there.. but lx has already been there and it seems he wasn't too happy, as his sk teammates didn't practice with him properly thus he could not have the maximum output.. but events like PGL prove that he was in fact very worthy and may have achieved something if stayed longer in progamer heaven. draco is ambivalent. mondi prefers to study and play poker. and SEn.. dunno about his reasoning.. but he also seems to be thinking his chances of succeeding are very low. but that all set aside (and above all the last wcg o_O o_O o_O)... testie HAS BEEN the one constantly taking games from koreans which shows that he is able to do it. And he has a huge advantage over nearly 99% of all the top level gamers -> a deep knowledge of all 3 races (what will he do in korea?) which might have helped him there by outplaying his opponents. so what will become of him after a span of the most intensive training available on earth? He will definitely be the best foreigner.. korea changes you.. all skills you have and which might have been a bit rousty or unflexible are refined and i'm very excited how much potential this canadian still has to unleash.
