well it's only a rumour and a "maybe" for now, but if you make a decision to go testie then you have our support and cheers!

Cool as hell if it's true, would be even more fun to follow the progaming scene with a foreigner in it.

Good luck!

This 1 person deal sucks. Not knowing the language basically makes you totally isolated. They should, at the very least, take 2 at the same time. All the progamers that actually lasted had someone else, AFAIK -- elky/grrr (plus nazgul/etc at diff times), pj/lx, assem/leggionaire (plus some other guys who knew English on Hexatron/POS). I know for a fact it made it a lot easier on them (both game improvement wise and emotionally in general) to have someone to hang out/converse with.

Maybe I'm just a girl, but going alone to a place where no one speaks English would be the most boring, stressful, irritating thing ever.

I actually think its the opposite. Having another foreigner with you might only serve as a crutch and make it harder to become part of the team. Being alone also goes a long way in learning Korean that much faster as you are forced to learn it asap. With the right mindset, after the early adjustment period I'm sure testie will get over it emotionally. Besides, I'm sure CJ will have someone that speaks at least a little english there if this happens.

its just stupid

I totally agree with Skew. You cant make good results when you are handicapped by living in isolation. Your character have to be reeeealy strong to survive without going nuts. Draco thought he could make it but realized that it is not worth it.

They should invite Mondi + Testie + Draco into one team but few years ago. Now the time of foreigners in pro sc:bw kor team is over.

being alone won't be a problem i think and korean isnt the most hard language in the world to learn, besides i guess they will speak some broken english too... on top of that hes not the only foreigner in korea so if he really needs other people they wont be that hard to find...
The main point is just the motivation and i think this isnt really dependant of that, if you have it i'd say go for it... not many people get a chance for something like this ^_^

draco was a machine for being able to practice that much, but was he a brilliant sc mind?

testie always said one of the reasons he has a good rec vs draco is that draco doesn't know the game on as deep of a level.

in that sense, it doesn't matter how many times draco flogged the dead horse, he'd reach a certain ceilng that just won't budge. the argument with testie may be the opposite, he's got potential mentally, now he just needs to flog the horse!

edit: to support my statement, think of all the koreans that try to win courage tournaments. for most of them, they practice the same amount, yet some rise above the others. some people just have it while others don't T_T

If Testie is going to Korea to be with CJ Entus, it's a really good deal for them. Besides Much, CJ have pretty much shit all Protoss wise, so it will be a good boost for them.

That's exactly a dream come true in my opinion.
Living this experience can only be a good thing for someone, even if it's hard because of the language. Can't wait to have confirmation of this "rumour".

I'm sure whatever decision Testie makes it will be a decision of an enormous amount of thought and consideration. I hope he decides to go, because if he does I'm quite sure he will do well.

I doubt Testie will stay in Korea for more than 9 months. It's not because of him, I don't know how disciplined he can follow a training routine and how strong he is mentally to stay focused. I just think he cannot live in Korea. It will be another world for him, he will feel that way every single day. It may cause him to question his decision again and again. Sooner or later he will ask himself what he's doing in Korea when he could have a good life somewhere else.
He will most likely lose his aim after some time - feeling that he's walking in circles - and then he won't play SC with heart anymore. That will be his return to normal life, back home, finding a job, etc. Or in the worst case he will become another poker-freak...

Everyone needs something where he can go back to at any moment in his life.
I highly doubt Testie can break the rules of life, no matter how hard he tries.

I wonder how many people here judging his character actually KNOW Testie?

I don't, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I mean, give the guy a break? I'm sure if he makes the decision to, he will give it his best shot.

I just had the thought right now that this is a hoax. When I thought about it, I was glad, but in deep thinking;
beecause at WCG, Testie did absolutely horrible, 1-3'ing in the group (the forfeit win was his only win).
But I suppose he was in the 'group of death'.
So why would CJ jump aboard for another contract offer?

i would assume the reinvite is more based on the convenience of the cj brass and testie being at the same place at the same time (a rare thing). his results in this years group stage probably had nothing to do with the thought process involved, CJ is apparently interested in a foreigner and testie's already earned their eye in some previous going-ons that can't be erased/affected by one group stage.
