Perhaps a bit, but not until there's a party that motivates them to vote, which will be harder than motivating the people who choose not to vote instead of having a law that prevented them. That's the simple problem with 538 and the pollsters. They built everything on models of "likely voters" that don't match reality. Trump and Democrats successfully drove down turnout of traditional voters, problem is that Trump had a much better strategy to motivate new/non-voters. I don't think Democrats are going to get one so now we're just on the slow ride until Democrat voters stop blaming Republicans for their politicians losing and start blaming their politicians. Menendez has not only been prosecuted for crimes, but he was tried to a hung jury. Note: he was not acquitted. And that's before we discuss his fucking of underage girls in other countries. Menendez is a legit shitstain on Capitol Hill. New Jersey should be ashamed.

I mean they both are shitstains on capital hill, you just like how one of them smells. It's not very different for Democrats and Menendez, both sides should be ashamed imo.

NYT story irrefutably proved tax fraud by Trump. He has expressed attraction to literal 10 year olds. His first wife accused him of rape under oath. He admitted to regular sexual assault. He has over a dozen accusers. He has expressed attraction to his daughter. He had unprotected sex with a porn star while his 4 month old son was at home with his wife. He hung out regularly with Jeffrey Epstein, and commented favorably on Epstein's predilection for young women.

You probably should revisit your list and start crossing stuff off accordingly.

They're ok with foreign underage hookers as long as it isn't plastered all over the news. One of his jurors cheering and taking photographs with Menendez at his election night party was an excellent New Jersey touch. The Senate was easy, and it's a good reminder that Trump and Republicans will get their originalists through in the next two years. Thank God. O'Rourke and Gillum (and likely Abrams) losing is good news for the Republic. I really wish Republicans could've held the House. Oh well. We'll fight harder next time. Bring on the subpoenas and investigations and impeachments!

Hillary will be pleased with your "they weren't prosecuted" perspective. Turns out our justice system is pretty shitty at prosecuting wealthy and powerful people. They pretty much only get got when they get caught screwing over people more wealthy and/or powerful than them.

There's a big difference between Hillary not being prosecuted for the email server thing due to political considerations in the run up to an election, and Trump not being prosecuted for stuff that is decades old not new when there were no political considerations.

We could name a lot of people who haven't been prosecuted, that's not a very compelling distinction here. Especially when you want to compare Trump to someone else on the basis of sexual impropriety.

Perhaps, but none of those political considerations were prosecuted either so I guess they're as clean as Trump in that regard too.

Now we'll have to see how the split house/senate affects Trump's agenda, if at all.

Everyone everybody thought would win, won, all of the interesting races turned up the expected way, the Dems got what everyone expected and so did the Republicans. Now we'll have to see how the split house/senate affects Trump's agenda, if at all. Best I could tell looking over the votes, the only legislation jeopordized by the small majority Democrats won would have been his tax legislation. But that was inevitble because of the repatriation aspect. Basically you're looking at the same agenda with some more pork/compromises to get enough Democrats to pass it and pretty much anything that makes it out of the house is sure to pass the Senate less it be too favorable toward Democrats. I was also looking over the senate races for 2020 and I have no idea (besides the number of them for each side) why Democrats think they have any shot at a majority or even winning more than a seat or two. Oh but now Trump will blame everything wrong with the country on a result of the House being a waste of space, and he'll be wrong about problems being their fault but right about them being a waste of space so that'll probably be enough to get him a second term and both houses. Particularly with Democrats looking to be clinging on to their "have you seen the other guys" strategy.

Particularly with Democrats looking to be clinging on to their "have you seen the other guys" strategy. I think you are spot on politically speaking. Right wing pundits saying Trump hammering on the house blaming them for everything, while winning all key senatorial races, sets him up pretty nicely for 2020. Also, this is some 3d-chess level trolling: (I'll put in spoilers, if someone can embed it aswell great) + Show Spoiler + https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1060162807960870913
