Is there STILL a Korean BW scene?
Are any English speaking casters left who commentate on the korean scene?
What's left?

I'm not sure where to start with this question...

Yes, the Korean BW is having a massive resurgence in popularity. Most major events have english live casts as well. In fact the ASL Season 3 Finals starts in roughly 12 hours, if you're curious.

Yes. It's massive.

Yes, there are english casters. Tastosis made their return to cast the ASL, there is alternative English stream done by myself and EsportsJohn on afreeca as well for the ASL. Bisudagger hosts a "fight club" weekly show. GrethSC is still doing his newbie videos where he enjoys making fun of bad players.

You can find the thread in the BW section under the Tourneys subsection.
If you click that thread you'll find links to the streams (KR, EN) and if you somehow missed it, it's immediately uploaded to the youtube channel anyway (both KR and EN versions), so you won't have to miss a beat.

The Korean scene is pretty big. It's possibly the first time since the end of the KeSPA era that I can't keep up with all the tournaments.

wrong forum and wrong game ^^ I wonder what answers I would get if I would post in the sc2 forum: "is there STILL a Korean SC2 scene?" which would even be a more adequate question.

No it wouldn't. Both games have a scene. Neither of them is "dead".

I feel the same nowadays but it's a great feeling to have, knowing the scene is alive and well

At least when people say that there is a korean BW scene, it is not a lie.

Is Korean SC2 scene dead? I haven't followed Korean SC2 scene for a couple of years now so I have no idea what's going on there.

But I am damn happy to see BW scene so alive. With ASL it almost feel like the good old times!

Wait, so cannedbeans makes a shitty low-effort thread asking "Is there a Korean BW scene?" which is something anyone can see if they do even the utmost minimum of looking around the site in any direction, and that's okay, the thread remains up, no one gets warned. But arb says the words "Is there any SC2 scene?" which is the same exact thing but about a different game AND he does it as a reply and not as his own new shitty thread AND he uses actual picture of the site (meaning he put in the modicum of effort necessary to use his fucking eyes and use HaN-'s image) AND he is a veteran user, and HE gets banned?

The fuck???

What would you guys do if he made a new thread in SC2 section with exactly the same words, exactly the same effort, just replace mentions of BW with SC2? Perm, or chop his arm off?

What is wrong with admins? The guy answered on point to the question, gave him some objective data, there was not an inch of hatred and he gets banned? Thank god I still have Netwars because moderation level here seems rather absurd.

Hilarious how dishonest you guys are. You wanna tell me you cannot see the implication of
"From that picture one should ask "Is there still any SC2 scene?"

Like srsly? I am not sure if a two day ban is necessary or not (depends on the posting history i guess), but it's not surprising to interpret that comment as another "dead game" one.
Which is exactly how Seeker put it: "unnecessary".

Guys, please refrain from discussing moderation in threads outside the Website Feedback forum. It derails the discussion of the original thread which causes the thread to get closed, in most cases.

Also, keep in mind that moderators have more information and insights into a user's history and context in which the warning/ban was issued. For example, arb already has almost 40 warnings and temp bans, a lot of them in the same vein as his post above. Most of the people are permanently banned at this point, because they don't show a will to improve their posting.

In any case, while moderation is obviously not perfect, the moderators do try their best to uphold the quality of posting that TL is known for. If you find the TL's rules too limiting for your posting habits, you're free to find elsewhere to discuss things.

With that said, this thread did serve its purpose.
