Winter has been bigger slump season in my experience. The apps/activity fall off a lot and there are often ~3 weeks of no raiding over the end of dec through the start of january

only non slump is expansion launch season but spring and autumn are pretty alright

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a threshold where you start getting reasonable amounts of quality players applying. At this point in the expansion you gotta just pray the core group in your guild decides to keep playing.

Blizz has this habit of saying that they're buffing something by "5%" which would usually be understood as doing 1.05x more damage but under the hood it's actually going from 125% to 130% (1.04x increase)

usually not a very big error but sometimes significant when the percentages are big or far away from 100%

subbing in for one of our tanks this week, cleared normal and up to heroic sisters with the rest tomorrow and I still have no idea what I'm doing

Is it actually documented what they're doing with sharding? Cross realm is very open and i've never seen a "low population" server have so many stability and lag issues since Vanilla. Silvermoon went down again during raid time today, we have not had a clean week since Nighthold.

There are a lot of people not from silvermoon in our zones because of the crossrealm and sharding systems

Doing emissary in valsharah and shit is broke even though my ping displayed is the same as always (~30ms).

Fel rush (fraction of a second GCD) casting 2 sec after i press the button, eyebeam (2.15s cast) taking 5-10 seconds to apply its damage or not doing damage at all and getting stuck in the animation casting it for 10 seconds, literally unplayable

This stuff just didn't happen on this scale before Legion even when the server pop was many times higher. There was disruption around new expansion releases, around new raid releases but not 2 nights a week after the second raid tier had been out for 2 months

With the RP stuff, a lot of people just want to put 100 chars in one zone even if it lags a little. It sounds like there are some awkward situations where one shard is 100% full and the overflow shard is 3% full with like two dudes in it that see completely empty zones. There has been a hotfix for that now specific to those realms

connected realms is different from crossrealm. Connected realms share AH, people can raid mythic together and be in the same guilds.

They should connect more realms is what people usually want to say by merging.
i'm guessing it's a technical nightmare to do tho, especially if the servers aren't in the same building physically.

They should, but then how could they milk the server transfer moneyz that just went up by 25% in EU a month ago?

The realm im on is connected with 5 others and its still dead. It has 1/3 the population of the top servers. Market is barely alive No high end guilds, not even high end m+ players. World is pretty empty, no one chats in town ever. On the plusside theres no WTS or gold spam though.
