Calling all Starcraft II Amateurs and Ladder Heroes: Rival Starcraft II League is returning for a 2nd season! For those of you that got to brandish your talents for our first season, now is the time to prepare yourselves for a second chance at clenching the title of RSL Champion! If you did not participate in the previous season we hope you will join us for this second exciting season of singles GSL-esque competition!
First, if you did participate in the previous season, please note that there have been some changes to the new season! To allow for a more compact season (less time commitments and possibility for scheduling issues), we have limited the overall
group stages to an initial RO16 after the qualifiers.
To reward some of our players that supported us and competed in the prior season, we have invited 4 of our top finishers to skip the qualification process. This means that there are at least 12 slots open for qualifiers!
Please remember that this is an Amateur League, meaning if you reached Premier League in the previous season, you will be unable to compete in this tournament.
I would also like to note for those of you that are in the EU region, this tournament league is not restricted to the NA players, but will be hosted around NA timeframes, so if you wish to participate you will need to be flexible and capable of competing
on the NA time schedules.
Last but certainly not least, the prize pool has been upped this season!
The new pool's total is $500 and the breakdown is as follows:
1st: $200
2nd: $100
3rd/4th: $50
5th-8th: $25

On behalf of the RSL Team I would like to invite you to participate in our qualifiers and compete in season 2 of the Rival Starcraft II League! Signups are open now and will run through Thursday the 28th of May.
Qualifiers will be held on two days in case you miss one or are unable to clinch the first several slots! Qualifier dates: May 29th/30th at 8pm CST/ 9pm EST / 6pm PST
Round of 16 will begin immediately on June 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th with the group stage format used last time and also in use by GSL. The group stages will be broadcasted live at 9pm CST / 10pm EST / 7pm PST
Quarter Finals will be on June 12th
Semis and Grand Finals will be on June 13th.
So once more, warm up your fingers, clean those keyboards, stock up on Mountain Dew, and be prepared to ravage the battlefield with your APMs and strategies in the 2nd season of the RSL!
