This 2v2 tournament is pretty much a result of morrow asking, "...but why focus on Koreans? Who says they are the best?..." on Remax this week. We have had a lot of fun with the 2v2 tournaments so far, and I am excited about this one :-)

I believe I also heard you talk about wanting a 2v2 island map recently; dunno if you were being serious, though. I made a 1v1 island map a while ago that can be played in 2v2, but a proper 2v2 island map should probably be a lot larger with more bases overall. If you really do want something like that I could probably have it ready by March 10 or so.

By the way, the first 2v2 tournament was awesome and got me into 2v2 map making, so it's really great to see you doing another one!

IMHO, the 2 on 2 scene need good standard maps, not crazy maps. Is we want people to start playing competitive 2 on 2 more, we need done kind if consensus on which the maps are. So best thing is probably to take the acceptable ladder maps and the best of the standard community maps, and try to stick to those in the few 2 on 2 tournaments that are around. Dine deviations are desired of course, but if there are 7 new maps every time, announced shortly before the tournaments, it adds more random, and discourages serious 2 on 2 teams. A bit boring, but that is my take on this.

Hmm, can we add races to these players? I know a few, but not all.

I have no idea who Zervas or Lambo are, but "Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Boyz" sounds like a team anyone should be intimidated to go up against! :D

As for Team NA, it's good, and it's accurately descriptive. But I think it would be fun to do a sort of play off of the two people involved, especially if it references Major's pokémon addiction.
