He had a pretty bad year He still managed to qualify for the Blizzcon almost without competing in WCS NA, so I don't think it is such a terrible year for him. Although the results in WCS NA were really disappointing. | ||

I think all of them are pretty safe bets to get trough their ro16s, only MC vs herO is a little debatable due to being pvp imo. I suppose Stardust could pull out some weird cheese but I believe in MMA! | ||

I did consider Zest but I have a strange feeling he will lose to Life for some reason.. Bomber winning Jaedong should be pretty safe bet as well but I like Jaedong too much to admit it  | ||

Players have two equal (200/200) armies, after the battle one of them is exterminated and the other survived with 20-30% of the army. One player (A), which was massacred, in the meantime (during battle), managed to build more units, and the player (B) didn't, and tried to win with a counter. And one minute later he got trashed like a baby rattle. Player A, through the entire game successfully defended, but every now and then built one less unit to build more SCVs. Therefore, he had a better economy than player B. Player A throughout the game worked more or less the same as Player B, but more successfully performed a drop and destroyed 10 probes. That allowed him to build more production, more units. He is actually in an advantage in the game, although the army of player B was stronger. Player B has 12-odd carriers and no minerals left, but these 12 carriers can destroy pretty much everything. Neither player has a lot of minerals, but player A certainly doesn't have enough to fend off these carriers with Goliaths (which is the standard against carriers I think). But he thought of something that some would never think of built 4-5 Ghosts and lockdowned 6-7 carriers. He had enough Goliaths to kill the remaining 6. And with something that never works (usually as soon as you make the ghosts, the chances of winning decrease because you just spent 500 minerals for a unit that is basicly useless in a fight). But with such unorthodox movement pulled him out. Or, with 8 medics blinds 8 observers and flies in with 12 cloaked Wraiths on 12 carriers and slaughters them like pigs, cause there is no detection. Optical Flare (blind) is not even researshed in 99% of games, because it rarely gave you any advantage. Most people would not have thought of, cause they have never seen / heard / thought about using this ability. Looking generally at the game, it's useless. Player A has predicted what player B can throw at him. With vultures he planted spider-mines on a passage to the left where he could be flanked. He put tanks on the high groudn looking to the right, defended by missile turrets. the rest of his army at the third base where the big attack would be. Player B thinks he has him defeated, attacks from all sides! First, hes Zealots get massacred by Mines. Tanks crush his dragoons with no high ground vision on the right. The forward attack seems to be working. but tanks show up at the last second, killing the rest og his ground forces. But fuck it, it's all just useless clicks. 500 APM just to be cool. It does not show skill. The fact that Player A can actually build more workers while doing the same as the enemy, sacrificing a few units here and there, position his units in a strategically logical way and win the game is of no significance what-so-ever. This of course has nothing to do with skill. RTCliking Contest ftw! (Now that I think about it, SC2 is almost like a clicking contest - The Machine wins everything!! Innovation ftw!!) | ||
