I haven't been able to really see much ATC because school, but based on results Starbuck is performing very well, so maybe if they make it to the playoffs he'll be able to make something happen. But against Liquid, Acer, and Axiom...

Mouz might be allowed to just let vortix stay as an honorary member for a bit longer for the playoffs.

Now that Axiom has already qualified I'm excited to sit back and see what happens here. Gonna be exciting to watch as a straight out winner takes all match really.
I'm kinda hoping that mouz wins it because, and I mean no disrespect to them, they are a much easier proposition in the play-offs than yoe Flash Wolves.
I can't see mouz beating yoeFW San and Leenock though and yoeFW have good depth as well.
Shame this will be VortiX's last game for mousesports though.

Well StarBuck took four maps from Axiom when he last played them so yeah, he's pretty dangerous.

Is that a significant possibility? I know that they will be short a player, but are they just going to abandon their ATC run? They've had a great season, it'd really be a shame.

I'd guess that would be the most likely outcome. That being said, I wonder if the tournament admins would make a special case for Mouz in this situation (allow them to take a joker, give them an extra revive). No matter what, it'll probably raise a storm, especially from the 3 other playoff teams who would benefit from a weakened Mouz in the playoffs.
But that's assuming that Mouz wins. If YoeFW wins, then we wouldn't even need to worry about this. That would suck for Mouz though, having missed the playoffs two seasons in a row due to tiebreaks.

Yeah, would have been best to extend the contract for one month unless VortiX' next team is already determined and doesn't want VortiX still associated with mouz. Now it's damaging to mouz and the ATC should mouz qualify.

Man, this could be the second front running team that vortix torpedoes in ATC by leaving at the wrong time. That's kinda funny, in a really unfortunate way.
