You don't whine/bitch/bm in a game against Polt with thousands of people watching and then forfeit the series, no matter what. Not nice, Naniwa.

He plays sick sc2, but he has shown bad attitude and personality too often. Nothing to admire as a person imo...

That's not true. Whining about soundproofing is legitimate whine. I still don't think he should have forfeited, but we also don't know what was said between admins and NaNiwa.
You still don't boo the best foreigner Starcraft II has ever had off stage on his birthday. Show some gratitude for god's sake, he's done more for the Starcraft game that we all love than any of us or any of you.

What? It's his birthday even? Jesus Crucifixion Gangbang Christ, what a day for the guy...

For god's sake all these comments saying what a shame and whatnot are ridiculous. Then it might just be a mark of my apathy towards the game - but he earned that slot.
He worked harder than most everyone else. You cannot deny the results Naniwa has had.
And if he has decided that he dislikes the game (amen) I'm glad he has the balls to leave instead of torturing himself.

But I can't understand that you're forgetting that no other foreigner has done as much for Starcraft as NaNiwa has. He's the best one we've had, and this whole thing is unfortunate, but I can't see how people can get so blind by this thing.
Oh well
Pretty ironic that you use blind so many times in this post.

No one is booing Stephano here.

I am not blind to NaNiwa's bitching, don't worry. I still love him as a player though, and I don't wish being boo'd off stage on their birthday on anyone, be it NaNiwa, Stephano, IdrA or whoever.

It was totally deserved for how he acted.

Fuck I missed it... that scrub deserved it.
Byebye Naniwa, don't come back.

Like i said in the article, he is a polarising player and it makes it exciting as a spectator to watch. having said that his actions were unfortunate but demuslim made an excellent tweet earlier saying that he should not have been playing in that condition anyway. point of this was to thank someone who has been inspirational, not really to debate about whether you like or dislike nani. regards to the "he played for himself" I'm well aware of this, in fact i think he said so on itmejp's interview with him, but that doesn't mean that I can't say thank you for enjoying his work.

He was being disrespectful to the whole tournament and just forfeits which is just hugely disrespectful to anyone watching the games and anyone who has tried so very hard just for his spot.

It doesn't matter if it is his birthday or not. This is a tournament and competition. Such a poor showing from Naniwa regardless. If all he came to do is show fun games and not try to win, then why he is there? Forfeit his spot if that is all he is going to do. It's like he didn't even try, which is the worst thing. It also doesn't matter what he has done for SC2, what he did there at that time, was/is incredibly disappointing.
Those boos were because of the poor showing and the poor sportsmanship that Naniwa showed. I would say they are deserved especially from the fans that came to see him. Again it does not matter if it was his birthday or not. Any sports fan for any sport would boo for that kind of showing.

I will miss Naniwa, he made me laugh many times. Yes he could be a douche but he provided entertainment and at least he was one of the few foreigners in the last couple of years who when he goes to tournies you feel like he can progress and take a series or two from top Koreans. Unlike a lot of other foreign "pros" who are usually just making up the numbers in the group stages.
