But here's the thing. The media will keep freaking out over it because first and foremost it's profitable and second of all the masses are too gullible and for lack of a better word stupid to understand that the more attention they give the higher the risk for more similar events to occur gets. They are gullible enough to believe the factually inaccurate and logically ridiculous scapegoats that the media uses in the form of... you guessed it, other forms of media, such as games, movies and music. And should a few people rise and blame the media for it, they have the excuse of just doing their job. It's sad but it's a vicious cycle.
