Can't be just this guy since dems are winning everything (lieutenant governor, AG, and a bunch in the house), a lot of this has to be on Trump. His reaction should be worth the watch, he won't be a fan I bet.

Virginia is purple or blue depending on how optimistic/pessimistic you are. Northern Virginia is very populous with a high contingent of people that work and breathe DC politics. Those suburbs have overwhelmed the rural areas that go Republican. Last elected Republican senator was 2002. The last Republican vote for president was 2004.

Check out some of the fliers that made it around VA. EDIT: if Gillespie won with these, we would see this kind of shit nation wide. The whitebutthurt movement would have spread further, and more openly. + Show Spoiler + Uhh racist on both sides? The fucking Washington Post even called it vile. The Latino Victory Fund is a Northam campaign donor to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars and the campaign registered the ad as an in-kind contribution.

What's the state of gerrymandering in Virginia btw?

The Latino Victory Fund is a Northam campaign donor to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars and the campaign registered the ad as an in-kind contribution. Do you ever read your own links? I mean even once? There is no question that if this were a race to the bottom, Mr. Gillespie would be the winner, having spent millions of dollars on ads that use specious claims and appeals to race and ethnicity to scare and divide. That he has doubled down in recent days with deceptive ads trying to paint Mr. Northam as an enabler of child predators underscores the lack of character that has marked his campaign. It is one reason we endorsed Mr. Northam. No, overselling the threat of racism is not at all equivalent to spending money on actual racist flier campaigns and ads. You can't show racism in both. And even further, Northam disavowed the Latino ad instantly, whereas Gillespie ran racists dark money campaigns all the way up the election with zero retraction. “Ralph Northam would not have run this ad and believes Virginians deserve civility, not escalation,” a spokesman for Mr. Northam emailed us. That was before the Latino Victory Fund announced Tuesday night that it was pulling the ad, issuing a statement that cited “recent events.”

Margin gonna keep getting hire in voting count since the DC heavily democratic areas report later.

Dems are concentrated in the northern parts. The commute to DC & environs is too important. For statewide presidency and governor races, Virginia is a blue state, but I have a lot of compassion for people that still remember when it was a purple state.
