So now FBI sources are leaking to Fox that there is a 99% chance that up to five foreign intelligence agencies hacked and accessed Clinton's email server.

Don't be so obtuse. You know what my point is. The FBI agents aren't deferring to their superiors because they are convinced that their superiors are deliberately obstructing the investigation for corrupt reasons.

1.you are guessing as to nature and quality of evidence and case
2. it is still going rogue
3. it is an extremely bad judgment of timing on going rogue

1) Correct.
2) Correct.
3) Not necessarily. If the evidence truly is damning, then it's not bad judgment.

wtf? there is a big tradition of military and intelligence independence from civilian political meddling and this is not only a threat to the integrity of the fbi but to democracy itself

We both agree 1) that it is unclear what the nature of the evidence that the FBI has is and 2) that the FBI agents are going rogue. Where we differ is that you are making categorical statements that the FBI agents should not be going rogue, regardless of how good the evidence actually is, whereas I am saying that if the evidence is good enough, they should go rogue. My point isn't even controversial (which is why I find most of the responses to it from other posters to be utter jokes), so I'm not sure why you're having a hard time swallowing it. The only possibilities are 1) you believe in complete adherence to the chain of command, or 2) you're just utterly in the tank for Hillary and won't even consider anything that possibly reflects poorly on her. I went with the former. Should I have gone with the latter?

whereas I am saying that if the evidence is good enough, they should go rogue

Then let them show us.
Do not expect people to believe the word of a basic agent and assume that the heads of the FBI, DoJ, and internal corruption agents are compromised.

Extraordinaire claims require extraordinaire evidence.

I'd love to see the FBI agents leak the evidence for my own personal gratification, but I understand that they don't want to compromise their investigation. Like I said, they're in a tough spot. That said, I can see a lot of people being fired if the FBI agents are barking up the wrong tree.

Yeah, the difference is that you are willing to believe that basic agents are influencing the elections for a just cause because the heads of the FBI, DoJ and Internal Corruption are bought.
The rest of the world doesn't believe random people making extraordinary claims on their word.

I haven't concluded anything of the sort. I'm waiting to see the evidence. However, from what I've seen so far, I do think that it is more likely than not that the FBI agents have a point.

Fbi must have something concrete against Clinton, that is pretty obvious to me. If they didn't have anything concrete I doubt they would risk bringing out the news that they did. They probably have skimmed through the mails already,or have other reliable information.
Will go further and say that what they found is probably very sensitive, hence all the caution when proceeding. Not going to fast,do it slow and good.

I specifically used this as one of my examples of bad/rogue FBI activity (my linked Lou Dobbs video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47XG_r0gUF8). Can anyone dispute this assertion? Do we have anything but anonymous sources' "confidence"? Do we have any documentary evidence? Can they name the foreign intelligence agencies? Will anyone put their name behind this? Can we get a damned email confirmation at least? You have got to see how this has a corrosive effect on democracy. Every last Facebook Conservative friend I have left will now assert this as as the Truth. But all we have is an anonymous leak by Trumpkin FBI agents with an axe to grind.

Curious which five it would be. Would it be multiple from one country (e.g, GRU and FSB) or did five separate countries find their ways into this secret stash of emails?

this is why we need more wikileaks to fight against clear state manipulation of information flow such as china/russia

I have a list of 55 nations that are donating money to Trump for influence in the US government, which I will reveal after the election along with my secret plan to cure poverty.

Wikileaks is little more than a medium through which Assange's benefactors leak information. He literally means nothing compared to the leakers.

If a country has something to leak, they can get it out there. It wouldn't be hard, they just need to find some guy or put some guy in place who can do the leak. There are some cases of "spy defectors" who were really just controlled leaks.

An oil executive accused of impersonating Elon Musk in an email in an attempt to solicit company secrets from Tesla wants the lawsuit thrown out because he says his impersonation wasn’t credible.

Todd Katz was the former chief financial officer of Quest Integrity, which provides services to oil and gas companies such as ExxonMobil, BP, Chevron and Shell.

In September, Tesla filed a lawsuit against Katz, claiming he set up the email address elontesla@yahoo.com to impersonate the company’s CEO and then used it to try and extract sensitive information from Tesla chief financial officer Jason Wheeler.

According to the lawsuit, Katz sent an email from the elontesla@yahoo.com account to Wheeler on 3 August 2016 requesting more detailed information about Tesla’s second-quarter financial results that were released on the same day.

“why you so cautious w Q3/4 gm guidance on call? also what are your thoughts on disclosing M3 res#? Pros/cons from ir pov? what is your best guess as to where we actually come in on q3/4 deliverables. honest guess? no bs. thx 4 hard work prepping 4 today

em”

Wheeler did not respond and instead Tesla launched an investigation to find out who was behind the email, eventually tracing the address to Katz and his employer.

Katz subsequently resigned from his position.

This week, Katz filed an objection to Tesla’s lawsuit arguing that the company’s reaction has been “over-the-top” and alleging that Tesla hacked into his Twitter in order to identify him.

The filing does not quibble that Katz sent the email but argues that “nobody who received this preposterous and grammatically deficient email ever believed it really came from Elon Musk” and as a result there was no credible impersonation and no direct injury to Tesla.

“It is clear that the email allegedly received by CFO Wheeler on August 3, 2016 was goofy, grammatically deficient communication that was not a ‘credible’ impersonation of Elon Musk in any way,” says the document, filed in the Santa Clara superior court.

It's a sort of bitter irony that the FBI is at the center of this election. Criminal investigations are going to be a very prominent part of the next four years regardless of who wins. We really should take some time to consider how exactly the two most unpopular nominees in history ended up on the ballot this year.
