It seems Trump doesn’t understand that the reason most of the EU didn’t develop nukes is because of the treaties we signed with them that we would retaliate if they were attacked. That the world was a better place if only the US and the USSR were in an arms race.
And that part of the reason treaties work is that we agreed to follow through on the agreement no matter which president made the deal. But I get that those concepts are to big picture for our current GOP nominee.

You're right that being a patronizing, condescending, passive aggressive, incendiary, bigoted asshole is not a preferable "agenda" for most liberals, but him being gay has nothing to do with those words and actions of his. Who the fuck trains those cops? What are their procedures that allow for that to happen? To be honest, if i were in the US, i would be scared as hell when dealing with cops. There is no harm in taking help when you need it. There are lots of countries with competent police forces who manage to barely ever shoot unarmed people. Take a look at how those work. Steal their training routines. Steal their procedures. This shit is a disgrace. Fix it.
It should be possible to interact with the police without a constant threat of being shot for no apparent reason, because the cop flipped out and got scared by a passing dog or whatever.

It's a lot friendlier to reasonable, intelligent posters imho. So I'd think we'd get more people like that. Of course such people tend to be quieter in general on forums.

I think a fair amount of team loyalty contributed to it. I know plenty of people who were disgusted by Trump and now sing his praise now that he's the nominee. It's weird. It's like the things they used to think suddenly don't matter.
It's like some sorta tribal weird shit where if you kill the leader, you are now the loved leader.
