Apparently he's dropping out, so this might be a standard Ted speech, i.e., long.

I'm kinda glad he is. Keep your powder dry. Always another year. Let the voters reap what they sow.

You think Cruz has any sort of future as a presidential candidate?

You'd be foolish to think otherwise. This was his best opportunity, true, but the big orange man got in the way. He's young, and has built a base. Not saying a good chance, but there is time.

I don't think the republican party has a future as the christian party. I think Ted Cruz is entirely reliant on evangelicals and there just aren't enough anymore.

If he runs again, I would expect him to ...adjust his messaging, though not his beliefs. He's just too young, probability dictates he tries again. But why worry so far into the future?

Oh, I'll put it this way. if Cruz thought this was his only chance, he wouldn't be dropping out.

Hard-line christian beliefs will never have another president in the white house.

Listening to Cruz is awful, least inspirational person I can think of.

I didn't say he'd have a good shot. Just that he would try and maybe steal a nomination.

I agree though, he's an awful speaker.

My suspicion is dumb money. Many wealthy men imagine themselves to be responsible, center-right types who just want a serious man in office to do the bidding of men of character (i.e., capital). Kasich tapped into that dumb money pool, much as other dumb money guys did before him (Rubio, Bush3, Perry, Walker). Kasich does it better because he can claim to be some kind of false moderate and win over newspaper editorial boards. While the money flows, no reason for him to stop his vanity run.

Cruz's wife plainly could take no more, and Cruz himself snapped during his interviews today. Kasich seems to be having a great time eating other people's food.

So Cruz didn't say never Trump, but he wasn't pro-Trump either. He has the future in mind. Separating himself from the disaster that is to come, yet not trying to be too obvious about it.

Lucifer and Hell returns to you Mitch McConnell. LOL. Should be good.

I look forward to seeing how Trump attacks Kasich, since it really hasn't been necessary so far and he's only barely done anything to shit on him this entire election. Though given that Kasich couldn't even beat the ghost of Marco Rubio in Arizona, and people just don't really seem to care for him, Trump may just ignore him and act as the presumptive nominee.
History will sooner or later sweep the European Union away without mercy.

Well, the Republican party has made their choice and will reap what they sow, Trump victory or not.

Sad day for America that one of the two parties has officially turned its back on critical thinking.

As for the Dems, a Sanders victory tonight is unfortunate. Now Hillary has to take fire from both sides for months because the old man won't drop out.

Though Trump's arguments to Sanders supporters to join him should be funny.

She wasn't even in Indiana because the primary is over. She's campaigning in Ohio today. Bernie is the only one still involved in the democratic primary.

She could always drop out and set the party free.

This does not change the fact that she will take fire from both sides for a little while. Sanders isn't so far behind her, like Kasich is to Trump, that he can't at least stay in the media and take attention away from her.

So the race for 2020 started for Ted Cruz tonight, who sees himself as a reincarnation of a conservative variant of Ronald Reagan.

She is basically counting down the days till she gets arrested anyway.
